I really enjoyed the Rift missions in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft should keep the modern day sections like this going forward. They’re fun, engaging and surprisingly intriguing, which is more than I can say for majority of modern sections in AC.

@iv_sal1 Interesting, I really enjoyed the OG modern sections (Desmond’s story) but haven’t been invested since AC3. I found the modern sections of Odyssey and Valhalla super confusing so didn’t really gel with them at all

@JaeGamez The platforming was okay but everything else was underwhelming. Modemr day should be like what we got in AC1 to AC3 or valhalla, surprisingly valhalla had an amazing modern day.

@GatesTemple I’m defo gonna have to revisit some of the older games, have no recollection of rifts being better than this, musta skipped em, used to avoid any of the modern day content like the plague 🤣

@JaeGamez I think that the idea of these were really good however the execution is a far cry from what the rifts used to be. Syndicate, one of the least popular games, had a rift that had you play a whole section in WW1 as the granddaughter of one of the main characters. We need that back

@JaeGamez I like there concept but enjoyed the syndicate and unity versions of them so much better with rifts in time, with fully flashed pit renders of the settings instead of looking like AC revelations style animus partial loadings

@wesleytypes Be genuinely surprised if they’re not at least considering this after the success of Fallout and fantasy tv series in recent years. There’s a lot they could do with Elder Scrolls could be a great show honestly

Imagine if they made an Elder Scrolls TV series as goated as the Fallout show. You could cover any number of events during the 201 year gap between Oblivion and Skyrim, and with the franchise's penchant for unreliable narration, artistic license would flourish.

@ChrisSimpy413 I also have both, had my PS5 since late 2024, got my Series S back in 2022 I think. I much prefer to play on PS5 much bigger library but I’d also be tempted by the switch to support physical media but I’ll likely end up getting back as I really need the PS exclusives ngl
