@JagCesar supabase is awful and regarding automating cloudkit actions, this is a thing. however i agree you cannot scale a product outside the Apple ecosystem by just using cloudkit

@gregggreg2 Most of our users are authenticated with iCloud, but that may be because we are very clear about syncing using iCloud.

@JagCesar Yeah, there are tradeoffs for sure. I am curious how many people you find that aren't logged into iCloud at all? I haven't seen this in my app, but it doesn't have a ton of users.

@gregggreg2 Another example is that you can't change user account in the TestFlight app without signing out from Media & Services in `Settings.app`.

@gregggreg2 Absolutely, but then we have to solve the complexity where an iCloud user might want to switch to another account. I personally *hate* that tvOS changes content in the apps based on which user I choose for example.

@randomor Absolutely possible, but also requires every user to set up an Apple ID. That doesn't make sense to be honest :/

@JagCesar Great post! I’m wondering if CloudKit for web could be the gateway to possible cross platform support. If only Apple made this more friendly they will have so much more service revenue.

@k081e @powersync_ I considered powersync but couldn't find any integration with CoreData. I want to keep all local data in CoreData, it integrates with SwiftUI really nice.

@JagCesar Great to have these details, thanks for sharing. I'd heard rumors but this is the most comprehensive write up I've seen. and to plug : you can always layer something like @powersync_ onto Supabase when you need more advanced syncing features.

@IamFruitsalad_ @SpotifyCares Same here. The Spotify app for macOS pauses a few seconds into every track, and then won't play. Works without a problem if I play via Chrome instead of the Mac app. Is this a known issue @SpotifyCares?

Is anyone else having problems with @Spotify ? It keeps pausing my music randomly, and ive done everything it said to make it stop on the website, and it still continues to pause.

Friends at Apple - If anyone here works on GameKit and/or Accessibility, please help me get attention to FB22635748. Showing the GKAccessPoint (button to get into Game Center) currently breaks both VoiceOver and SwitchControl.
