The path to a Liberal majority in Canada is insanely corrupt: -SHUT DOWN parliament (prorogue) because you are about to lose. Leverage Jagmeet Singh's pension date to avoid an election. -Stall until the US election. Leverage the Trump win. -STILL dont get a majority - so you convince other MPs to betray their constituents for government perks to get you across the line. This government is totally illegitimate.

@SpencerFernando Don't ban floor crossings. Use the idea Gladu supported as recently as January, automatic by-elections for MPs that switch party affiliation post election. Allows MPs to cross, but gives the constituents the final say in the matter, as it should be.

Were Canada to ban floor crossing, we would be suppressing the individual minds of those we elect, and further concentrating power in party leaders. As things stand now, floor crossing protects independence and keeps pressure on leaders to treat their colleagues well lest they watch those colleagues head elsewhere. Floor crossing – and the threat of it – protects us from a system where those we elect turn into mindless drones serving nothing more than the centralized will of ‘the leader.’ So, whether you agree with Gladu’s decision or not, it is essential to protect the right of MPs to cross the floor. The individual mind is the most precious resource we have.

What do you call a country where the poorer it gets, the more economic incompetent it becomes the more popular the government becomes ???

So let me get this straight, I go to the grocery store and buy … a pound of sliced turkey in a plastic bag, a loaf of bread in a plastic bag, a gallon of milk in a plastic jug, a pack of napkins in plastic wrap, a store-made salad in a plastic tub, a plastic bottle of mustard and ketchup, but they won't give me a plastic bag to carry it home because the plastic bag is bad for the environment? 🙄😂

I’ve been a cop for 15 years. I pulled a guy over last night. He was doing 85 in a 55. Weaving. I walked up to the window ready to write a reckless driving ticket. Maybe even take him in. When he rolled down the window, he wasn't drunk. He was shaking. "My daughter," he gasped. "She's at Children's Hospital. The chemo isn't working. They called... they said I need to hurry." I got back in my cruiser, flipped on the lights and sirens, and I escorted him the 20 miles to the hospital. I cleared every intersection for him. We made a 30-minute trip in 15. He ran inside without looking back. I waited in the parking lot for an hour. Just in case. He came out later, saw me, and walked over. He looked hollowed out. "Did I make it?" I asked. "Yeah," he whispered. "I got to hold her hand while she went. You got me there." He tried to shake my hand, but he collapsed into my arms instead. Can we go back to the 80s/90s please? I really hate how everything is now. I miss how life was, how people were. The music was better, the films were great. I miss blockbuster video and the days of no social media. Times were so so much better.
