@ygorganization Why doesn't this mention blue-eyes!? The activation condition and the lock would perfectly balance the card being searchable. Even if this was searchable at most it would probably be a 1-of since it's not a starter but the fact it isn't makes this card not worth it

@LukeVonKarma Yeah unfortunately this is a case where doing an overframe version of an already existing card as a reprint doesn't work. In general a lot of the old yugioh art is just not fit for it since so few old cards have details that you can't see in the frame so this comes off as lazy

@SkarlonYGO This is in the product description. So i think that's what these sacred beast,dmoc and bls cards are meant to be. New Themes based on the anime that you can build with the cards in the packs alone. Maybe it's to try make it beginner frendly?

People get so unbelievably livid at me for this take, but Cimo is 100% right. The game is called yugioh. The incredibly popular main character’s name is in the fucking game, and they’ve spent decades on what feels like everything else but their most popular characters.

While GX was popular, it wasn’t centralized around the original characters (Yugi, Kaiba, etc) that got most people hooked on the franchise. Imagine if Pokémon removed Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu immediately after Indigo. Would Pokémon have been nearly as popular? Hard to say.

@PeepsYGO Also i hate the argument some make that the going 1st player having ash doesn't make that much of a difference when breaking a board. But sometimes YES IT DOES!! Sometimes ash is the difference maker behind not being able to play through a board. It's not common but it sucks

@atrocityTCG The rivals set releases on march not this month, so i imagine they will do twitter reveals for the rival cards next month or they will do a vjump reveal next month for all the cards alongside the chaos origins stuff

So they are not going to dripfeed ALL of them on the 8pm Twitter slot but it's clear they will do at least HALF (probably saving dm/bewd for last)

In Japan they just restricted people from posting Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG and Master Duel gameplay videos to Twitter and Discord. They can only post screenshots to said websites.
What is the reason for this???

Konami has introduced Video posting Guidelines for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Games for Japan (maybe global soon?). Seems they're forbidding gameplay videos directly on X and Discord, restrictions on editing content and notes of game audio now being managed by JASRAC for YT Copyright.

@fedginator I don't know. The word i would use is that right now it's incomplete. The clearest example being that the deck has a spell/trap searcher and right now it has only 1 spell which is already specifically searched by another monster. If the other 7 cards are bad than yeah it's ass
