@RuiCaoCooler @HCLPokerShow @RobbiJadeLew @GmanPoker RFID can detect what cards are in an area, but it can’t detect the order of the cards in the deck.

I had already called the election for Trump nearly an hour and a half earlier.

Election night. November 5th, 2024. 9:44 PM. How were you feeling at this moment?

@immasiddx Why even waste $3k+ on the MacBook Pro MX Max when the MacBook Air will have faster speeds in just 3 years? Very few people will utilize the extra compute.

@hugh_jarrett @Jake54514876 @HazelAppleyard There's no way to ever prove it, but I think it could be possible that consciousness (or what we're perceiving as consciousness) is purely a product of our physical form and that precise reassembly would create the identical consciousness - i.e. "you" wouldn't die in the process.
English

@Emilio2763 Maybe she’s a good candidate for Love is Blind? @LoveisBlindShow

@hugh_jarrett @HazelAppleyard It could be quantum wormhole teleportation.
But with Star Trek teleportation as you described, what if your body was deconstructed into light energy, sent at the speed of light, and reconstructed with the exact same energy in the exact same structure? Is it you?
English

@HazelAppleyard That people seem hung up on the almost dying, having actually already died, is weird.
A teleporter dismantles every part of your body. The fact that it assembles a convincing copy of you is irrelevant.

@dwarkesh_sp For GPUs to keep appreciating, demand for tokens must grow faster than supply. Currently demand is exponentially growing… but will it slow? Is an inflection point coming?

The value produced by models is getting so much better so fast that old hardware is actually getting *more* expensive to rent.
3 years ago, the best model you could run on a H100 chip was GPT-4.
Now, you can run GPT-5.4 on it, which is smaller and cheaper to run while producing much more valuable tokens.

@Kniveus @feviknight Yes, luxuries are now cheap. That’s the point. Boomers claim we’re not building wealth because we’re buying luxuries. But these luxuries represent a relatively small portion of our income. We’re not building wealth because basic necessities are now expensive.
English

@Jake54514876 @feviknight You're comparing really high end luxuries at the time, they were brand new
That's like comparing a 3d headset from now vs in 50 years, that makes no sense
Or a car in the 1920s vs 1980
English

@feviknight Luxury items are now cheap, and necessities are expensive.

@applesclubs I’ll wait for the iPhone XXS to release. I just hope it’s not too small though.

@applesclubs Action Button: I use it a lot as my flashlight button. It’d be nice if you could set multiple actions. Short press, long press, double click, etc.

@eMTBrides China’s Navy is not astronomically bigger. Sure, they have ships in total, but most are tiny and pose no threat. Our Navy is 2.5x as massive in total tonnage. We have 11 Aircraft Carriers, China has 3.
English

Heres What Pete Hegseth Has to Say About China 🇨🇳 I'm so tired of the China glazing just ask Venezuela if our technology is outdated🤛 but I know how it all works, they have to create a boogeyman to justify spending more unnecessary $ on the military industrial complex 👊 #China #military #geopolitics

Trump just made an extraordinary admission:
The United States gets less than 1% of its oil from the Strait of Hormuz.
Japan gets 95%.
China gets 90%.
South Korea gets 35%.
So Trump is asking the countries whose entire energy supply depends on the Strait — to come fight for it.
While America, which gets almost none of its oil through it, started the war that closed it.
Japan just officially said no.
China called it Iran’s sovereign right.
South Korea has given no commitment.
America closed a waterway it barely uses.
Then asked the countries that need it most to come reopen it.
Then threatened NATO when they declined.
Iran’s Foreign Minister already answered this logic:
“There are people being killed only because Trump wants to have fun.”
$21 billion spent. 14 Americans dead. Oil at $102. Zero allied warships coming.
Less than 1%.
Never stop connecting the dots.
English

@ScottRCarpenter We should team up with Russia and conquer Europe. They’d lowkey enjoy it; they have a dominance kink.
English

It’s. A. Test. NATO is being revealed for what it really is. The USA’s exit is starting to appear inevitable.
Eric Daugherty@EricLDaugh
🚨 HOLY SMOKES. President Trump just EVISCERATED American "allies" refusing to help the US secure the Strait of Hormuz, openly MOCKS them "Do you have any minesweepers? 'Well, we'd rather NOT get involved, sir!' I said, you mean for 40 YEARS we're protecting YOU and you don't want to get involved in something that is very minor?!" "Very few shots going to be taken because they don't have many shots left." "But they said, 'we'd rather not get involved!'" "We'll protect them! If ever needed, they WON'T BE THERE FOR US. I knew that for a long period of time!"
English

@Coinvo @Claudiashein President Trump could offer security while we collaborate to eliminate the cartels. This is your once in a lifetime opportunity to fundamentally improve Mexico forever.

@oliviakrolczyk_ We are born with sexual attractions for the explicit purpose of procreation. Any deviation from heterosexuality emerges from misassociation, early conditioning, social influence, grooming, or psychological trauma. Homosexuality is not natural, but nurtured.
