@JakeAndBall Memphis is kind of stupid, but the second round of playoffs has some real stakes for Majors, and I think the Fed Ex Cup finale is a cool way to end the year with the Top 30.
Plus Fed Ex Fall has some interesting stuff happen.

Few things:
1) As a whole, about as underwhelming as it gets.
2) Professional golf is as loaded with talent as it has ever been.
3) Controversies seemed to dominate (Rory playing AGNC everyday before Masters, setup at Aronimink, weather at U.S. Open, Bryson penalty at Open).

I have been called a beta for going to see a movie alone while my girlfriend is tied up with her own grad school commitments.
My lady is tied up with school, and all my buddies have careers. I’m off Th/F because I’m taking the bar. I’ll happily go solo. Legit perfect distractor.

@JakeAndBall Atta Boy, Jake! It’s hysterical that your “girlfriend” plans to leave town when you’re taking your bar exam and you’re so giddy buying a movie ticket in advance because she’s leaving. Who takes a bar exam and goes solo to Toy Story 5? A Beta Bryson boy, perhaps? Pathetic!

Update on post-bar exam plans: my ticket has been purchased. I initially misread the showtimes — turns out it starts at 11 AM and not 10 AM.
Fine by me. Also going on Thursday (day after bar exam) instead of Friday. Two beers, Diet Coke, Popcorn, Peanut M&Ms = still the plan.

Girlfriend will be out of town on the Friday after the bar exam, so my tentative plan is: 8 AM: Wake up. 9 AM: Uber to nearest 70mm IMAX theater. 9:30 AM: purchase two 25 oz beers, large Diet Coke, large popcorn, and Peanut M&Ms at concessions. 10 AM: The Odyssey, solo.

@errectusdennis Yeahhhh it definitely stung a little paying for it, but I know I’m gonna need something to distract me from how miserable the bar is, and by all accounts, the movie, especially in 70mm, is going to be sick 😂

Hopefully, there’s limited math on the bar exam. It’s not rare for me to correct Titans fans on math.

My girlfriend told me today that she was “nervous about surgery on Monday.” I thought she was having surgery, and I just completely missed it because I’m so distracted by the bar exam in two weeks. I felt awful. Monday is the start of her next clinical rotation (surgery).
