The Rams have two days until May 1 to decide whether or not to take on the fifth-year option for CB Emmanuel Forbes. Would be surprised if they pick it up as Forbes' salary would go up to $12.6M next year.

We talked about this on the show today a bit. The perfect parallel is when GB drafted Jordan Love. They could have had Tee Higgins. That year, they lost by 5 in the NFCCG when Davante Adams had 15 targets and the next GB WR had 6. Higgins had ~900 yards as a rookie. Would he have been the difference? Not sure, but you can't definitively say no. That's basically the debate each team had. Does this WR get us another ring while our old QB is still going vs will the QB secure the next decade after transition? I think arguing either side is reasonable.

I know many are likely crucifying the Rams for taking Ty Simpson at 13. As I ALWAYS said...this pick was never for the now. Team always saw it as a luxury pick. If McVay had enough conviction to take Simpson at 13, have to trust he thinks he's good enough.
