The reason why they are so great is because of their ball control and press resistance. They maneuver around you

Raw speed has diminishing returns in soccer because of the complexity of the game. At the highest level, elite decision-making and technical execution separates the top players.

@ozfromboston @Niccolascito Yeah and there's Messi, Oyarzabal, Musiala, Iniesta. they are all skilled and don't rely on their athleticism. they have amazing ball control and are press resistant. being fast helps on breakaways but if they didn't have the technique they couldn't go anywhere with the ball.
