Based on various polls and articles I have read I am guessing about 45% of tax pros are handling BOI reporting for their clients and 55% are NOT interested. Poll at the end. Our insurance has no problems with it and we have developed a good system. Education of clients has been the key and it is the 1st question on our mandatory tax planner. Common topic in our email newsletter, etc. All clients with a company have to sign a separate engagement letter opting into us handling it OR opting out. We do NOT do BOI reporting outside of Indiana. Then when we do the BOI reporting itself they fill out another questionnaire and sign another form. We just got started. My guess is we will do initial reporting for about 300 companies. Each firm will handle this as they see fit. Legal Zoom is offering this service as are many 3rd parties. Some local law firms are offering this service. Is your tax pro firm offering BOI services? #cpa #ea
