@allenmendenhall The only people opposed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
are white male supremacists.
People who miss the days when there was affirmative action for those same mediocre white men.

@TVNewsNow @TomiLahren You do know that not bearing false witness is one of the Ten Commandments. Why do right wingers want to put them into schools when they don't bother with following them.
English

🚨 NEW: Fox News’ @TomiLahren issues a WARNING about Democrats: “Beware of the ones who market themselves as ‘moderates’ because they are often the least moderate of the bunch.”
“Andy Beshear is going to be someone who the left thinks as their new Joe Biden. He’s the ‘moderate guy’ - but he’s anything but. Trust me, don’t let them fool you. They don’t have to be screaming at the top of their lungs like Spartacus to be a radical.”

@Coach_OB1 $$$$ being equal, the Coach has something to do with it.

@TOPPER_TALK Bullpen and bottom half of the batting order seem to be big problems this season.

WKU loses on a walk-off in extras after leading 6-4 entering the 9th

FINAL | MOST 8, WKU 6

@TOPPER_TALK Had a rough game last night.
Three games in eleven days is insane scheduling.
English

@JakeGibson43041 @CodyNespor @ImJoshWhitt They’re the one that came up with the idea. So yeah. I blame them
English

With Fields reportedly entering the portal, #WVU is down to just Amir Jenkins as the lone returner.
7.2% of last year's minutes
Cody Nespor@CodyNespor
If Amir Jenkins and Jackson Fields are the only returning players next season, #WVU will bring back just 9% of its minutes from this year. Here's the percent of minutes that returned each of the last few years 26-27*: 9% 25-26: 0% 24-25: 0% 23-24: 14.2% 22-23: 17% 21-22: 48.6%
English

@TOPPER_TALK Expecting his minutes to go from 19 to around 30. That should put him consistently in double figures point wise. The assists will need to triple at the least.

💥 BOOM💥
WKU lands their PG1 and first commitment of the transfer portal cycle.
Sharron Young is a 6’0” 160lb PG that has spent the last two seasons at Akron. He has 2 years of eligibility remaining. Last season he averaged 7.2ppg in 19 mins played per game.
A native of Morgantown, WV; he helped lead Morgantown HS to three consecutive state championships to end his hs career. He was named Gatorade WV Player of the Year his senior season. He also helped lead Akron to consecutive MAC championships during his first two seasons of collegiate ball.
Proven winner. Recruited by WKU out of HS. Great get. #GoTops
Sharron Young@sharronyoung05
Go Tops!❤️ #committed

@SportsofSHSU @On3 Most of the conference seeing that, except Liberty and WKU.
WKU lost 6 through graduation.
English

Have seen Bryana Block and Alaisha Brown make public announcements of entering the portal but according to @On3 Lea Salinas Beaman, Kaylie Carr, Kelis Grant and Annika Corcoran have also entered the portal.
Big WBB roster overhaul coming this offseason.

@Madisox43 @NILnotNLI At first I expected some of the more prominent players would make some extra spending money, maybe a few thousand dollars, while the great majority would see very little if any. I certainly did not anticipate some players making close to pro league rookie money.
I was naive
English

@JakeGibson43041 @NILnotNLI No university president would vote for that.
There are 362 D1 schools, alone. “The NCAA” wouldn’t have a clue what is equitable for each school and each sport, and stay Title IX compliant.
Still didn’t answer my question: what did you think would happen?
English

Despite the Bilasrati claiming otherwise, NCAA Division 1 college sports have gone completely off the rails.
In this financial climate, with academic programs folding, universities closing, and staff being eliminated, any subsidized college student pulling in $5 million and on a free ride is completely embarrassing.
This is not the private NBA or NFL. These are:
• Heavily-subsidized Athletics programs.
• Heavily-subsidized universities.
• Heavily-subsidized athletes.
It is completely embarrassing that hardworking, debt-ridden students and families are forced to even partially fund these millionaire kids, some of whom provide little or no ROI.
NCAA sports do not operate in a free market. They are part of a crumbling university ecosystem that's heading for total derailment.
English

@TheTowelRackWKU I can't forget the play against WKU where he threw the ball as high as he could and everyone thought he threw the ball away except the WR who caught the ball in the end zone for the winning TD.
English

He was a beast. WKU possibly wins a SBC championship in 2011 without him in the picture.
Group Of Five Guys@GroupOfFiveGuys
Ryan Aplin threw for 67 career TDs at Arkansas State. He led the offenses that were the catalyst for great offensive minds like Gus Malzhan, Hugh Freeze, and Rhett Lashlee. 2x Sun Belt Champ. 2x SBC POY. Nobody wanted to play Arkansas State in those years. An @AStateFB LEGEND.
English

@Madisox43 @NILnotNLI 2/
Not that I trust the NCAA, but I think a percentage of revenue should be paid into a fund by the conferences and distributed by the NCAA to the players in a regulated and equible way.
Or just turn college athletics into minor league pro sports and I will watch Little Leagu
English

@JakeGibson43041 @NILnotNLI That didn’t answer my question. What did you think was going to happen when players started getting paid?
Were you wanting players to get paid?
English

@Madisox43 @NILnotNLI I accept that a full scholarship is not adequate compensation.
But annual free agency and bidding war does not seem sustainable. No professional league would or could operate under that circumstance.
English

@Madisox43 @NILnotNLI We are college basketball fans.
Not just fans of the P4.
It is not the best way for the majority of players. Absolutely terrible in the long run for non-revenue sports. But good for the schools with the most money. And some elite players.
English

@JakeGibson43041 @NILnotNLI Who is " we"?
Again, what did you think would happen. It's basic economics.
English

@RossShircliffe @TOPPER_TALK $$$$$$$ are the only selling points now.
English

@TOPPER_TALK It’s frustrating all the things that used to be selling points for WKU are completely out the window. Just a short time ago players like Perry wouldn’t have been that hard to get on a transfer
English

@IvanFox4 @CodyNespor @ImJoshWhitt True except you can't blame the NCAA other than their incompetence in dealing with the issues.
English

@CodyNespor @ImJoshWhitt Exactly why the transfer portal sucks. It happens everywhere. There is no team identity anymore. Long for the days of watching players progress through the 4 years in school when they were actually student athletes. The NCAA can kiss my 🫏
English

@BackupLowe Not in the UK, but are you trying to get named head of the Gestapo?
English

@Madisox43 @NILnotNLI We ended up with the worst possible way to compensate the athletes. Agents have to have their feet to the fire. They are doing everything they can to escalate the pay and I really believe they are giving a lot of kids bad advice. And that a lot of them are crooks.
English

@NILnotNLI What did people think would happen once players started getting paid
English
