@Dragnmastralex_ @LiteralMem3s This would only apply if both operations were multiplcation/division or addition/subtraction. Since we have no groupings or exponents the first thing we do is multiply. 10*2 = 20. Then, we add the 10, since Addition and Subtraction are last in the Order of Operations. 10+20=30

@LiteralMem3s the rule states that you do the equation from left to right unless there are parentheses then you do what's inside that first. the calculator is not wrong.

@jazayerli Would’ve been cool not to waive the white flag game one and just start your regular starter. Made zero sense. Once again, decisions Q makes every few games are baffling. Same as last year.

The closer gave up 6 runs in 0.1 IP before going on the IL. Their #1 prospect overslept and had to be benched for two games. Their best player has a 565 OPS. Their #3 hitter has a 493 OPS. But the Royals are still 4-4, because their starting rotation has been nails. Not worried.

#Nebrasketball likely to return roughly 50% of it's minutes played from this year's Sweet 16 run. Expecting return announcements from Sandfort, Frager, Buyuktuncel, and Jacobsen throughout the upcoming week as deals get finalized. Essegian is running it back. Anticipating Cooper & Curtis as well. Rhymes, Bolis, and Uggy's back are the bigger question marks remaining.
Evan Miyakawa@EvanMiya

Roster continuity is getting becoming less common by the year in CBB. The average high major team this year had 31% of its minutes played by returners. Still, each Final Four team is above average in % of minutes by returners: UConn: 62% Arizona: 49% Illinois: 45% Michigan: 34%

Bobby Witt Jr. channels Superman when he steps on the field: “After the elation of that first game wore off, there were a bunch of things I struggled with on the inside. We lost 203 games in two years. I wasn’t used to losing. It was like: This is the big leagues. I need to be the guy everybody expects me to be. This team is relying on me to be great. So, of course, I ended up trying to do way too much at first. At one point during that first year, I realized that’s what was going on. But then, going into the next season … I did the exact same thing. Heaped all this pressure on my back because of all the games we’d lost the year before. And it’s like … what do you know, huge surprise … I went out and struggled the first half of that next season. It sometimes would get to the point where … you’re basically grasping for answers. You find yourself thinking stuff like, Maybe I should wear my uniform pants differently. Or, What about leaving this button unbuttoned on the jersey? That’s when I decided to swallow some pride and reach out to a mental performance coach I had met in high school. He got my focus back on preparation, rather than results or statistics. Just putting in the work behind the scenes, when nobody’s watching, and then … not getting too low or high based on the results. Before I got with him, I was always so worried about my stats, and whether I was somehow letting people down. And I realize now … I wasn’t being fair to myself. I was putting too much on my shoulders, and I wasn’t able to separate baseball from life. I held onto that worry and stress even when I left the ballpark. And that wasn’t good for anyone. When I got back together with my mental performance coach, one of the first things we talked about was giving myself some grace. And trying not to bring any baseball stress home with me. ‘All right, this is how it’s gonna be,’ he said. ‘You’re Bobby off the field. And that’s the person your family and friends all know and love. The son, the friend, the family man, the guy who is just trying to live a good, solid life. And then…. ‘There’s Junior.’ I was like … What do you mean? ‘When you get to the field, you flip that switch, and just like that … you’re Junior.’ I loved that idea so much. Like an alter ego. You get to the stadium, and you put that cape on. Clark Kent and Superman. So we immediately got to work making that my approach: Bobby at home … but Junior at the ballpark. Then, after the game, that cape comes back off. And this is maybe gonna sound crazy, but that’s been a life-changing thing for me, to be honest with you. It was like magic. That simple little framing, that’s all it took for the stress and worry to melt away. And, surprise, surprise, ever since then…. I’ve been playing some of the best ball of my life.” playerstribu.ne/BWittJr @BwittJr | @Royals | @USABaseball

@GeneSteratore I don't understand how #2 was "clearly" PI Gene. The DB didn't grab his arms or upper body at all until the ball got there. Not to mention, the ball was off target so it wasn't catchable in the first place.I don't understand why you feel the need to defend clearly incorrect calls.

Obviously a lot of talk about the overtime of Bills vs Broncos. Here are my thoughts on all of the big rulings down the stretch: No Flag for PI on Denver I support the decision to not flag Denver on the fade route. Is there contact? Sure, but it’s a play on to me. Interception or Catch? The interception is a wild play, with a lot going on. Seeing it full speed, I thought it was an interception and would’ve ruled it that way if I was on the field. My perspective on it is that Cooks lost the ball as soon as his body hit the ground. In my opinion, if there was no defender near him and he lost the ball when he hit the ground, the ruling would’ve been incomplete. I would have liked to see the game stopped for a more formal review, with an announcement from the referee on exactly how they ruled. Pass Interference #1 on Bills I didn’t think this was a foul. It was, to me, the same play that happened the drive before with Denver and didn’t warrant a flag. Noting that on that play there was a flag for Roughing the Passer too, so Denver still would’ve got a first down. Pass Interference #2 on Bills Clearly correct and pass interference.

What a fun read! I’m worn out hearing people moan, “Our grandparents could buy a house on one paycheck, but now we can’t even afford rent on two!” Yeah, maybe because Grandma wasn’t dropping half her income on $14 iced lattes and avocado toast shaped like art projects. Back then, if they wanted coffee, they boiled it at home in a dented pot. It tasted like burnt rubber and regret — but it woke you up and cleaned your pipes. And Grandma wasn’t “out to brunch.” You think she had time for mimosas and hashtags? She was making something called whatever’s left in the fridge and feeding six people with it. Don’t even start with Uber Eats. You think Grandpa was out here paying $38 to have a burger delivered three blocks away? Please. He grilled mystery meat on a rusted barbecue, and everyone called it dinner. Now people cry about being broke while sitting in a house full of gadgets. Two SUVs in the driveway, six streaming services, three air fryers, and matching tattoos that cost more than their light bill. You think Grandpa had a tattoo? He did. It said “Korea, 1951,” and it came with trauma, not Instagram likes. And the kids—Lord help us. “We can’t make ends meet, but Brayden needs the new iPhone!” No, he doesn’t. You’re handing an $1100 device to a child who still eats crayons and forgets to flush. When we were kids, there was one phone. It hung on the wall like a family relic. The cord stretched just far enough for you to whisper secrets before someone yelled, “Get off, I need to make a call!” And guess what? We lived. The TV? One. In the living room. With three channels and a dial that clicked like a safe. And if Dad wanted to watch bowling, you were a fan of bowling, end of story. Now there’s a flat screen in every room, the baby’s got an iPad, the dog’s got a camera, and everyone’s wondering why they can’t afford rent. Because you’re living like rock stars on retail salaries, that’s why. Grandpa wasn’t leasing Teslas or buying $12 smoothies called “Green Zen Awakening.” He drove a truck that coughed smoke, rattled like a storm, and smelled like oil and hard work. They lived within their means. Whatever Grandpa brought home on Friday — that’s what they had. They weren’t keeping up with the Joneses; they were keeping the lights on. So yeah, Grandpa bought a house on one salary. But he also didn’t have a gym membership, three delivery apps, and emotional support crystals on his nightstand. His only support system was Grandma, who told him to quit whining and mow the yard. Nowadays, everyone’s broke, anxious, and “manifesting abundance” while ordering tacos on DoorDash for the fourth time this week. It’s not the economy — it’s the lifestyle. Wake up, turn off your subscriptions, make your own coffee, and maybe—just maybe—you’ll smell the truth.

@DougKyed I'm not even a bills fan and even I can clearly see that was a catch, Doug. Like... There's nothing complicated about it. That whole OT period was a disaster class of officiating.

I understand why Bills fans don't want to understand why it's not a catch. They're emotional and invested. It's natural. They're quite literally coping. I genuinely don't understand how anyone who is not a Bills fan does not understand that Cooks didn't survive the ground. It does not matter that for a fraction of a second his knee is down, and he was touched. That's not the rule. The moment he hit the ground, he lost control, and the ball wound up in McMillian's arms.
