The Church isn't suing them because they used the word Mormon, and you know that, Zac.
They're suing for brand confusion (colors, copyrighted imaging, branding, and yes, including the word Mormon with all of that other stuff).
Whether or not they win or whether or not it is silly is up to the beholder, but they're not using because he used the word Mormon.

The First Presidency has announced new age-group names for young women—names that reflect their identity, growth, and purpose.
