@RippleXrpie Don’t the withholding tables already take into consideration changes to the tax laws and doesn’t that already result in higher take home pay? It’s dangerous to tell everyone to change their withholdings when some may end up paying more tax next year.

@CougarStats I have to chuckle with the words “as recently as the 1992-93 season. I didn’t realize dates that are more than 30 years ago, in a different century, are considered recently. 😆

BYU and Utah State are set to meet in basketball for the first time in 5 years. But there was a time when the Cougars and Aggies played each other twice a year. As recently as the 1992-93 season, BYU and USU played each other in games 14 days apart. BYU leads the series 143-92.

@KintsugiJin One thing to keep in mind is that a Bishop’s council is held under the priesthood keys of the stake president. A group of elder’s quorum presidents do not meet under priesthood keys and may come up with direction that is best given directly to the EQP through prayer.

It’s my understanding (I’ve been told) that the bishops & their counselors gather on a zoom call with other bishoprics in their stake on some kind of regular basis to discuss. Is that correct? And if so, why don’t elders quorum presidencies hold similar calls to share and discuss? I was part of a stake level training recently for all elders quorum presidencies (first time in nearly 4 years) and it was refreshing and helpful to talk and listen to what other presidencies are facing and how they manage it. Sadly, I was the only presidency member (past or newly present) to attend that. I will be starting an X group call with EQ presidency members. DM me to get involved.

this was always going to be the most fascinating offseason for BYU men's basketball, and maybe even more so than the last offseason. And no, the amount of guys hitting the transfer portal should surprise anyone, all things considered. This amount of roster turnover isn't ideal, generally, but it's necessary at times. When considering BYU's ability to attract top talent with Kevin Young as coach, there's good reason to be optimistic
