We can adjust for inflation, sure, but we also have to keep in mind a growing investment from Jagex themselves, right? The OSRS team literally quintupled in size over the past 8 years, no? The game is far more expensive to run today than it ever has been. That isn't to say the membership price can or should increase indefinitely, but it's a relatively small price to pay for a game that is unpolluted by the kinds of monetization practices every other popular MMO on earth has.

The interesting/sad thing about watching the Runescape players melt down over needing to pay $15 a month for the game is not that they're upset over a price hike, that is relatively normal... But just how faith the comparisons to other MMOs become just to service that outrage. Runescape is the only popular MMO on earth that isn't suffocated by a vicious cash shop, and yet people act as though sustaining that doesn't obviously come with its own issues (such as monthly prices increasing).

What "new content"? Pronouns? Updates for modern audiences on decades-old quests nobody gave a shit about? Pride parades? Record-high player counts above 200,000 (almost all of them paying member accounts) and an active community that does most of the development work and feedback for you....but that's still not enough for you avaricious cocksuckers. Due to the nature of this game, OSRS-players are more patient and hardy than most, but I think I speak for most people here that I say that you can go fuck yourselves in triplicate. @OldSchoolRS It takes little to no time to rollback the update. That's what should be done until you have discovered a proper solution. You risk massive decreases in player engagement for every hour that the game sits in its current state.

@Fredster93X @_yaboyJW @OldSchoolRS Anyone at the top of high scores almost certainly used the day 1 exploit to get straight to lvl 30, which is when the xp rates start to pick up.

@_yaboyJW @OldSchoolRS people are level 80 in the first day wtf have you been doing? imagine being level 1 in a skill and crying youre not getting 400k xp/hr, i was getting 25k/hr at lvl 30 that is pretty good. im now getting 75k/hr at lvl 60 this isnt fletching little bro, compare it to agility/slayer

@Dimma_K @OldSchoolRS I noticed that the launcher message was edited after we passed 15:10 UTC. They removed that bit, but now I'm back 40 minutes later, and servers are still down. There's no way people care this much about a couple thousand measly sailing xp lost to day one issues. Servers up please
