The first image is what a Sunday lunch looked like at Toby Carvery in 2005. The second is what that same meal looks like at Toby Carvery in 2026. I'm so angry with the woke blob, I think I'm going to shit myself.

removing cars from Bank has turned it from a generic horrible junction to a landmark that people actually like. so many other spots in London could do with the same treatment

@gracerz @ShericesPieces @americanreqiuem It’s not about who’s been discriminated more, he should not be made to apologise for having an uncontrollable medical condition any more than they should have to apologise for being black, neither should be discriminated against or have to apologise for who they are

@JakeMacDonagh @ShericesPieces @americanreqiuem Those men were humiliated on a literal global scale that is recorded and can be played back for the next 70 years. They deserve an apology- look at the pain on their faces ffs. And they sure as hell have faced more discrimination in their lives than that man has and you know it.

The look on Delroy Lindo’s face.. him and Michael deserve a public apology right now
Variety@Variety

#BAFTAFilmAwards host Alan Cumming thanked the audience for their “understanding” after a series of audible outbursts from Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson interrupted the ceremony. • One incident saw Davidson shout the n-word while Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were on stage. • Davidson, the inspiration for BAFTA-nominated “I Swear,” was diagnosed with Tourette’s at 25. His symptoms include tics and involuntary outbursts. • “You may have noticed some strong language in the background there, this can be part of how Tourette’s syndrome shows up for some people as the film explores that experience,” Cumming told the audience. wp.me/pc8uak-1lGWhl

@evryonelyvsme @AliAli7179 @americanreqiuem Yes, if they are adults who understand how disability and specifically Tourette’s syndrome works, then yes they should brush it off as they are adults who understand that there was no ill intention behind it and was not controllable

@ShericesPieces @americanreqiuem But apologising would go against the very point the film was made to make as we want to encourage acceptance of the condition and to understand that words only mean anything when there is specific intention behind them

@JakeMacDonagh @americanreqiuem The difference is, this happened during a live taping of an award show where more than one person was affected by the incident.

@ShericesPieces @americanreqiuem They literally address this entire point int he movie that he was there to represent, he would literally be apologising every 2 minutes for the rest of his life until he dies. Very different from an exceptional accident that hurts someone

@JakeMacDonagh @americanreqiuem If you accidentally step on someone’s toe, you didn't intend to hurt them. But their toe still hurts. A person with emotional intelligence apologizes for the pain caused, rather than arguing that they didn't mean to do it.

@americanboi4U @americanreqiuem @Variety It’s not a matter of who says it but the reality of the condition, in the same way as someone who is paralysed cannot walk. It’s an objective fact that he cannot control what he blurted out, it’s been scientifically proven. You can’t attribute malice to something he can’t control

@allyburns76 @ScotsSuperman @LucaGuadagnegro @Variety Yes, he’s clearly been faking it for over 50 years, that’s clearly the explanation and not that he has a medically diagnosed condition. All the other times were clearly the condition except for this one of course

@AliAli7179 @americanreqiuem Everyone is aware of the word’s existence mate, Tourette’s makes you say the worst possible thing that could be said, you can’t attribute malice to something he has no control over, of course his brain knows the word exists, so does everyone’s
