Blankenship was a UDFA out of Middle Tennessee State and worked very hard to earn his payday in the NFL, so I assume this is more so about his early football days than the Eagles. Eagles had him as a priority UDFA, gave him multiple pay raises and made him a team captain.

I don’t understand why players can be released with Post-June 1 designations before June 1st, but trades can’t be verbally agreed to. You can agree to trades before the new league year begins, why not agree to deals and make them official June 1st?

@szababyfava_ His accomplishments (SB MVP) + market reach (QB in big market, athlete signed with multiple big brands) definitely helps. I’d say 3 (Mahomes, Allen, Lamar) and a couple borderline guys who would join with MVP/SB. NFL HOF is interesting and fairly inconsistent.
