@mementoomor1 @RealTruggler The entire movie is taking place at night. There are a lot of exterior shots. The snow is a practical and aesthetic solution for giving visual depth and lighting to every outdoor scene. Boosts the brightness and makes color, like red blood, visually pop.

@mementoomor1 @RealTruggler The majority of the complainers are saying that, though. Whether you want to accept it or not, the year the movie is set in is a pretty minor in regards to the "fidelity" of the setting and narrative. And I'm telling you now, you do in fact want the snow to be there.

The vocal minority that feel the same way as you would get a lot less hostility if you all realized that not seeing the RE DNA in the trailer doesn't mean it isn't there.

@JakeShort @RealTruggler First of all is setting the movie on the right point of time, then making the city as it is a crowded, rainy, on fire, stopped in time almost anachronist, and the T-Virus zombies acting like when the outbreak starts, nothing more, no nostalgia bait, no fanservice just basic stuff

@Xingu1arity_ If you want a faithful adaptation of the games, then you want to see a characters you know canonically won't die or even get injured rambo their way through hordes of zombies and creatures that easily killed every other person. That's just a dogshit action movie.

This guy is trying to translate the gameplay of RE into a film medium by incorporating that into the story of the movie, he unironically gets how to make video game film adaptations + is more faithful and respectful to the source material than most people are.
