the gist is, let them build up a bit of their formal understanding, and then you indentify where it could be better and why. the understanding is generally pretty instant, unless it's a complex algorithm... in which case the LLM still comprehends.

the worst part of working with an LLM is that what works for me may not work for you... so anything anyone says is just anecdotal and happenstance. i *happen* to have a decently good output, but it's through tactics that i've dealt with in a way with Junior devs for a while.

@e0syn I feel opencode, with its flaws, has done a great job. it's been my go to for now. lots I'd love to see fixed/changed, but it's still young and a TON of code already

@ibuildthecloud yep. I jumped off the vim train almost a decade ago and never looked back. I also love devcontainer integration, and that you can essentially embed extension configs and everything is just set up from scratch on first opening

I'm not really sure we need anything more than vscode as an IDE at this point. I care less about an IDE and vscode does all the things and is infinitely customizable and super easy to extend.

@e0syn I remember when the nastiest scam was recording you through the webcam masturbating and then blackmailing you. like, go on and share it, everyone jacks off... but didn't you know it's bad form to send unsolicited dick pics?

@lalovestrump why do you need a team of 30 to yell at people like an incel? i had a team that built hardware and infrastructure for the entire world to run on with a third of that many people.

@scullytaco @Tort77019 my property taxes alone qualify 😅 it's actually a dangling carrot, though, intended to be high enough that people choose it over itemizing. the 2017 jobs act snuck in a boost to reduce ppl itemizing for reduced labor costs.

@Tort77019 @CodexHere Not really. The big hits for itemizing are mortgage interest, SALT, charitable donations, and medical expenses exceeding 7.5% of AGI. The typical W-2 worker is not going to have these exceeding $15,750.
