The 6’3” combo guard averaged 19.3 pts, 5.0 rebounds, & 5.0 assists while leading the Varsity Knights to a 2-2 record & a 4th place finish out of 16 teams. Jake’s top performance was a 24 points, 5 rebounds, & 6 assists stat line in the Quarterfinal Round versus Downey HS of Modesto. Jake also scored 24 points in a First Round win versus Chavez HS of Stockton plus registered 18 points, 5 rebounds & 3 assists versus Central Catholic HS of Modesto in the Semifinal Round. Our Ripon Christian High @RCKnights boys 🏀 program had a successful run at the Ron Peterson Tip-Off Tournament played at Riverbank HS this weekend. The Varsity Knights went 2-1 over the weekend dropping a close Semifinal Game by only 6 points to the eventual tourney champions on Friday night but followed that up with a big win on Saturday afternoon and concluded the tourney as 3rd Place finishers. 2 players on the Knights boys 🏀 squad were given individual awards for their team’s achievement Congrats to @rcknightsbball Class of 2026 Jake Vander Veen @JakeVV24 for being named All-Tourney this past weekend at the Ron Peterson Tip-Off Tournament played at Riverbank HS. The 6’3” combo guard averaged 27.3 pts, 4.8 rebounds, & 6.8 assists while leading the Varsity Knights to a 2-1 record. Jake’s top performance was a career-high 40 points, 4 rebounds, & 7 assists stat line in the 3rd place game versus River Islands HS of Lathrop. This 40 point scoring total was the most points scored by a Knights boys player over the last 30 years. Jake also nearly posted a stat line of 24 points, 6 rebounds & 6 assists in a First Round win versus Big Valley Christian of Modesto.
