So I was watching @ABCSharkTank last night and these two ladies pitched the idea of a grocery store that reuses glass containers, in an effort to eliminate plastic WASTE! While we applaud their efforts, they still use some plastic, and this is not a permanent solution for all applications, since glass is heavy and fragile. So their impact will be limited, but it still helps raise awareness and is a great idea.. until #Bioplastic eventually replaces plastic. Anyhow, they have had tremendous success, not because their products are any better, but because people are THAT concerned about the Plague of Plastic on our planet! I have ZERO doubt we’re onto something HUGE with the #PlasticSucks movement. 🤙 Check out BOTH of these clips to see for yourselves..

I would recommend a reusable PLA plate, they are made from plants but are hard like plastic. So you can easily clean them just like plastic and reuse them many times, before they start to break down. They will break down faster than regular plastic plates, but they still last a long time. You can keep using them until they completely deteriorated, since you don't have to worry about ingesting harmful chemicals! There are many options out there, but I think this place is the best for those in the U.S., just google PLA plastic plates to find a seller near you (you can also google corn starch plates, those are hard and safe too). Just stay away from the "fiber" plant based plates (usually made from sugarcane), they are just like paper.. so they absorb moisture and are single-use.
