BREAKING: IPOA has shocked the court with admissions that could leave many Kenyans wondering whether Rex Maasai will ever get justice. In court, investigators admitted they: - Never collected the bullet removed from Rex Maasai's body. - Never collected cartridges from the scene. - Never obtained footage from a crucial CCTV camera on the same street that had a full view. - Never recovered the alleged murder weapon. - Never secured key witnesses. Now the officer charged in the case could be freed because of a lack of evidence. Let that sink in. A young Kenyan was killed during protests that the whole country watched. Yet some of the most important pieces of evidence were never collected. -The bullet was not collected. -The cartridges were not collected. -A critical CCTV camera was not investigated. -The weapon was never recovered. -The witnesses were never found. And Kenyans are now being told by the cop's defense that there may not be enough evidence. This is the same concern many of us have raised for years. A case does not always have to be defeated in court. Sometimes it is weakened long before it gets there by the police. When evidence is not collected, a case becomes weaker. When witnesses are not secured, a case becomes weaker. When key footage is ignored, a case becomes weaker. And when enough evidence is missing, justice becomes harder to achieve. Many people may disagree, but most cases involving police officers can be diluted until accountability becomes almost impossible. Remember, IPOAs are also police, and they can cover for each other. If these admissions are accurate, then the biggest question is no longer what happened to Rex Maasai. The biggest question is how so much critical evidence was allowed to slip away in one of the most-watched cases in Kenya. This is why police officers should wear body cameras. Evidence should not depend on who remembers, who records, or who investigates. Justice for Rex Maasai.

@SpaceTuareg @JacobsBen What is this one based on? Isn't it merit? Same as almost every other regional club competition in the world like UCL, Libertadores, CAF and Asian CL?

@Jakwecho_ @JacobsBen Up until 1994, there were only 24 teams in the World Cup. There was a very good reason for that. In any case, you got a point. We should create a real world cup based off merit, so that the best teams play the best teams, and not this snooze fest we are subjected to.

🚨 Joint-statement from Cape Verde, Curaçao, Uzbekistan, Congo, Haiti, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Ghana, Senegal, South Africa and Côte d’Ivoire expressing their “profound disappointment” following the recent comments made by UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin arguing the expanded World Cup will create “uninteresting” games. “We respectfully but firmly reject these comments. “For our countries, there is no such thing as an unimportant World Cup match. “For Cape Verde, Curaçao and Uzbekistan, qualification for the FIFA World Cup represents a historic achievement and the realization of a dream shared by generations. “For nations such as Congo and Haiti, returning to football’s biggest stage after a long absence carries a special meaning for millions of supporters who have waited years, and in some cases decades, for this moment. “To suggest that these matches are somehow less important is deeply disappointing and fails to recognize the efforts, sacrifices and aspirations of players, coaches, clubs, football leaders and supporters across the world. “Behind every qualification stand years of work and investment. Behind every national team stand entire communities and millions of people who see football as a source of pride, hope and unity. “Football does not belong to a select group of nations. Its strength comes from its universality. The FIFA World Cup is the world’s greatest football competition precisely because it brings together different cultures, different histories and different football journeys. “For many countries, participation in the FIFA World Cup is not only a sporting achievement. It is a moment that inspires a generation, accelerates football development and creates memories that last a lifetime. “We believe that every nation that qualifies deserves respect. Every team has earned its place on merit. Every supporter has the right to dream. Every match carries meaning for millions of people around the world. “We therefore reject the UEFA President’s comments and reaffirm our belief that the growth of football must continue to create opportunities, inspire new generations and strengthen the truly global nature of our game. “Every team qualified on merit. “Every match matters.”

@SpaceTuareg @JacobsBen Even going by your example of UCL, it doesn't entirely consist of the best teams in europe. The likes of Pafos and Kairat would struggle in the English championship yet they play UCL. Mid table teams in PL like Palace would smoke them but they didn't qualify.

@Jakwecho_ @JacobsBen The World Cup has never been for everyone - hence why there is a qualification in place, even today. The FA Cup is a ridiculous example. The World Cup has the same prestige as the Champions League, and you don't see subpar team players playing in there.

@FortuneSZN_ @McFlybowy That's different. The big 6 wouldn't sell key players amongst each other to strengthen one team. I'd say even a few other top mid table teams like Villa and Newcastle. They'd rarely sell to big 6 unless it's a crazy offer.

Bundesliga is so funny actually, anyone else get a good player and the next thing he’s in Bayern, how do you even compete with Bayern if your best players keep going there every season? It’s like everyone exist to strengthen Bayern. And honestly, it turns the whole league into a cycle that never really breaks. One club builds a strong squad, performs well for a season or two, then Bayern come in and take the key piece that made them competitive in the first place. So instead of closing the gap, the gap just resets every summer. It gets to a point where rivals aren’t just fighting Bayern on matchday, they’re fighting Bayern in the transfer market to, and that second battle is usually already lost before the season even starts. Even when teams manage to produce world-class talents, keeping them long enough to build a true dynasty becomes almost impossible. So the league stays interesting in moments, but predictable in the bigger picture. Bayern don’t just win titles, they kind of collect the league’s best ideas, best players, and best momentum year after year. It’s also why people don’t take the league serious in terms of competition..

@SpaceTuareg @JacobsBen If you want good football then create a tournament for top 30 or top 20 football nations. The World cup is for everyone. Just like the FA cup in England is for everyone. Do you complain when top epl teams are matched up against tier 4 or tier 5 teams?

@Jakwecho_ @JacobsBen World doesn't mean "free pass" for teams that wouldn't make a 3rd tier league in any domestic top country. And it also doesn't mean to lower the quality of the tournament so people feel "represented". It is a FOOTBALL world cup by the way, and I want to watch GOOD FOOTBALL

@JacobsBen Football fans want the best versus the best. This tournament is by far the lowest quality one of all time. We will be lucky to have 2-3 good games. I am sorry, but I want excellent football, not having to pretend 4th tier football is on par with the best. It is not.
