@nickconfrey @AmitMukherjee Data becomes more valuable to advertisers as the footprint increases in size (1b users) but ALSO in scope (3x the amount of information about a user across platforms). So the vision for these companies, is to have a better marketplace for brands / marketers to query user data.

@nickconfrey @AmitMukherjee The $30/user stat for facebook is not correct. The broader point however is that the facebook model is actually narrow in scope. Leveraging GDPR and other int'l data privacy laws, you can pull together a much better data footprint (by pulling from these massive data aggregators)
