Isn't that kind of the whole point of the show? The Empire supposed to be like the Nazis. They waste resources on tech that doesn't really help like the Death Star and elaborate automated prisons while the government is undermined by infighting.

The reason Andor is aging poorly for me is because I realized the Empire is insanely incompetent in the show and it ruins the whole "actually evil serious threat" thing In the prison Cassian was through in there were a total of like 30 guards in the entire complex, which was a vital slave labor source for the most important industrial project the Empire was undertaking The Empire sent more soldiers to antagonize Ferrix during Aunt Petunia's funeral because they are mustache twirling saturday morning villains instead of a serious entity

Well one is one of the most well made written dramas of the last 20 years. Perfectly unfolding in 24 episodes.
The other desperately needed a writers room, and needs to drop the 8 episode format and has huge structural issues.

The "16th Doctor"/PiperGate is going both remain an enigma and an incredibly unfortunate burden on the next showrunner to either sort out or ignore. Most likely ignore for the show's health but then do you start with a new "16th" or jump to "17th"? If so, WHAT happened there?

Announced today by the BBC, Doctor Who is now on hiatus with showrunner Russell T Davies leaving.
The long running show is now on ‘competitive tender’, where other companies could make a pitch for the show to the BBC on a ‘work for hire basis’.
Is this a needed break for the series, and how soon until it returns?

With DISCLOSURE DAY out this Friday, let’s look back at Steven Spielberg’s overlooked contributions to REVENGE OF THE SITH you may not know about….
Spielberg served as a guest director and contributed to the film's pre-visualization stage. He visually storyboard several key sequences, including the Order 66 montage, the Yoda vs Palpatine duel, and the Mustafar duel.
Spielberg suggested obscuring the on-screen Jedi deaths to make them more tragic. Specifically, he came up with the idea of having the camera move up behind a big plant so Aayla Secura’s actual death is hidden from the audience’s view.
Spielberg also reportedly conceptualized the "I have the high ground” sequence during Obi-Wan and Anakin’s duel.
Arguably the greatest director of all time had a huge impact on one of the greatest Star Wars movies of all time.
