My job was to buy companies and boost their potential, by setting a strategy, incentivising the management, and providing the capital to GROW, creating thousands of jobs.
I’ve had a long career, but I checked the figures for the eight biggest companies we boosted: their combined revenues were 2.5x higher by the time we sold them, and we doubled employment with an extra 24,000 jobs.
Let me tell you, Scotland has massive, massive potential for a boost!
