There was a mass shooting in Canada and a female cop at the scene did the following;
>Didn't even check on her partner after he went down right next to her
>Ventilated a random terrified civilian who was running away from the shooter, also didn't check on him
>Ran away from the shooter herself, leaving her partner to die
>Got shot 6 times in the back

A very difficult situation . The officer sees her partner killed next to her, while taking cover from armed shooter less than 25 meters away and can't see him. Man approaches her from the same direction and for all she knew, he was the suspect. She flinched and shot him.

To many who have actually seen combat, know how this female officer feels. To have a man, come from behind in the SAME direction as the shooter was, would startle any seasoned officer. This was a tragic case of misidentification in an extremely tense situation. Her partner has just been shot. Shooter mere feet away. Then this guy casually strolls up behind her in what appears to be complete silence. What would YOU have done?
