In 2018, I had become uber-interested in control systems and in particular flight control for drones. I built my own drone from cheap parts, including power distribution, stabilisation and my own flight controller software running on an ATMega chip. I did more work on a V2 of this system in 2019 & 2020 but tapered off anything further due to COVID restrictions making testing very difficult. Ill try and recover some of my records and share more on the journey in the coming months. It was definitely one of the cooler personal projects Ive worked on.

This is absolutely insane: At 7:04 AM ET today, President Trump said “the US and Iran have had productive discussions" to end the Iran War. By 7:10 AM ET, the S&P 500 surged +240 points adding +$2 TRILLION in market cap. 27 minutes later, Iran completely denied all of President Trump's claims and said there has been "no contact" with the US. By 8:00 AM ET. the S&P 500 had fallen -120 points erasing -$1 trillion in market cap. That's a $3 TRILLION swing market cap in 56 minutes, just in the S&P 500. What is happening here?

There is now talk of military conscription in Australia. Let's be brutally frank, I have no interest in being drafted or seeing my sons be drafted to fight a foreign war on behalf of an Australian government I do not respect. One that clearly loves to tax but doesn't care.

The least horrifying thing about this isn't the telepathy. Though make no mistake, that's what this is. The machine reads brain waves and converts them into sounds. Which you THINK sounds horrifying, but that's not the scary part, no. No, here's the ACTUAL horror is that this video was released Jan 31, 2012. This tech is nearly a decade and a half old. Think it's gotten any better since? Think they've done any upgrades? Yeah. And while you're considering that consider where it gets truly freaky.. As in why haven't we been hearing about this tech? I was making no such assertion. I was making the point that we will see higher demand on the grid which will potentially stress the fuel supply peovlem. Since our grid in Australia is currently not all renewable and we dont have any agressive expansion plans. Ev + solar for the home is the best way to decouple but i dont see it happening quickly. Do we peoduce solar cells and on-shore even?

@SandyXiaotong @Ausbobsmit Not all evs are powered by home solar, so expecting the remainder to get evs to curb the demand is naive dince a large part of our grid still relies on non-renewables.
