In 2018, as an analyst and writer with huge expertise in T20 cricket, @fwildecricket (co)-wrote a book with a chapter called "Why RCB Lose". He has then gone on to join RCB as their head of analysis, and win the IPL. I think that's pretty fucking cool

Krunal Pandya's bowling impact of +22.3 today is the third best for a spinner in an IPL final and the sixth best overall. #IPL2025 #RCBvPBKS

The Israeli army attacked a convoy of Red Crescent ambulances. They handcuffed the paramedics. They executed them by shooting them in the head and chest. Then they threw their bodies into a mass grave. What. Does. It. Take. theguardian.com/world/2025/apr…

In previous eras, the summary execution of 15 rescuers might’ve been the crime that turns global opinion against the war, but we live in an age of total barbarism, in which the “civilized” West and its proxies don’t bat an eye to even the most heinous massacres.

That Paddikal dismissal looked very close to the ground from the single angle shown so far. Given viewers are forced to watch endless wide and no ball reviews it would be good to see a slightly better angle for a very tight catch. #IPL2025 #CSKvRCB

I can't think of many better examples showcasing the need for better analytics in women's cricket than bowling wide lines to Meg Lanning with only 1 sweeper on the off side.

Two things can be true at the same time: 1. India are the best white ball side in the world. 2. The ICC is giving India preferential treatment in major competitions. Acknowledging the 2nd point doesn't change the 1st, the fact that it's happening does taint the achievements.

@cricketingview @amol_desai I'm really struggling to see how you think that this wasn't an excessive advantage. If Dube was only a bowler he would be unsigned at an IPL auction and nowhere near the T20I team. I think these arguments would be more interesting if Ramandeep wasn't an option on the bench.

All you need to know about this concussion substitute debate is that if Rana played the next game for Dube people would talk about how India has changed the balance of their side. If Ramandeep came in for Dube they would not.

@amol_desai @cricketingview I don't understand how those first two sentences make sense. If we agree it wasn't like for like then it's clear something's wrong. I agree it's not the fault of the team for asking but the match referee clearly shouldn't have allowed it especially with Ramandeep as an option.

@JamesNBCricket @cricketingview Agree that it wasn't a like for like sub. Don't agree about anything being wrong with what happened today. When "supposed to" is left to the team, whose primary objective is to win, you get a spirit of cricket type debate. Besides like-for-like is impossible to enforce.

Will we ever know the names & stories of 118,000+ people killed by Israel in Gaza? Or the people burned alive after Israeli strikes on Al Aqsa Hospital, where displaced Palestinians sheltered? The UK is complicit in these war crimes. End ALL arms sales & diplomatic support NOW.

Pat McFadden says labour will be rooting out benefit fraud. Back in May, McFadden was on the same program and the interviewer asked him: "Why did you claim £40,000 on expenses for rent on a constituency home despite owning the home next door?"

It’s wild how quickly people stopped talking about the riots. The UK had bigger conversations about racism after George Floyd’s murder in the US than when fascists set fire to a hotel with people of colour in it, carried out racist car stops, and targeted a mosque here in our towns and cities.
