The average age of footballers starting matches this World Cup is 28 years and 113 days: the oldest in the history of the competition.

Another pretty disappointing part of this whole schmozzle is practically all of the Associates at the ICC conference affected by this decision were kept in the dark until the announcement. It seems there was no consultation whatsoever.

@timwig why not write an article on why ECB blocked Euro Nations Cup? Your wimp of a cricket board doesn’t take any initiative to grow the game & keeps sending its minions to attack Indian Cricket.

There are discussions to cut back the 2027 ODI World Cup to 12 teams. The ICC announced in 2021 that the 2027 event would have 14 teams. There were discussions at the time of a 16-team World Cup after the 2019 and 2023 editions only had 10. cricketfj.com/p/reducing-the…

Not long into a period of upheaval in the cricketing board, Ireland beat India. Twice.
A fluke or has change started to pay off?
In other words, is the boom back?

Arthur Fery's rise from wildcard to the quarter-finals at Wimbledon, where he grew up.
Fery preferred to play on Court 18 for his round three match; now, he will surely never be able to play on Court 18 ever again.
