@cashflow_king94 @DividendDrip Information Both simple calculator is the initial plus monthly with 8% interest rate. The SIPP is even more amazing for a child. You put in £2880, government tops up to £3600 and that gives them 500k at 65 with zero further contributions 🤯

Stumbled across this portfolio The individual is 18. He has £7,000 saved which at that age, is an incredible achievement. His parents set up a child trust fund, so when he matures (18 years old) the money is his. His 18th birthday arrived today, and he now has just under £40,000. He doesn’t know it yet, but his parents have set him up for generational wealth. What are you doing for your children?

@fynnvestor @Mikethejourney1 Fidelity been brilliant since I did it in 2025. One of the lowest fees for junior ISA and Junior SIPP. Grandparents gifts have been split into ISA/ SIPP so they will realise when retiring that past generations are paying for their retirement. 20% gain in SIPP before investing

My daughter has 17 years before she can touch this money That’s 17 years of compounding Junior ISA currently at £153 with 15.31% return 📈 With that kind of time horizon should I just go 100% global equities and never look at it again? What ETF would you put your child’s money in? 👇 I saw the post of @DividendDrip and it got me thinking I need to act now for her future #JISA #UKInvesting #ISA

@RoversPundit 0.3 over a season is an extra 13.8 ~ 14 points We all know that MON would have got us challenging top 8 for a play off spot next season.

📌 For those who can’t tell, this is slightly tongue in cheek and just making a joke out of a bad situation, but in all seriousness I’m pretty shocked by that stat. I thought Michael O'Neill would have a much higher PPG, to be honest.

Just seen this stat and it’s pretty mental! 🤯👀 At Blackburn Rovers: Valérien Ismaël: 1.0 PPG Michael O'Neill: 1.3 PPG With injuries, players not fully fit, and replays, it’s not even that big a gap. Bring back my gaffer! 🇫🇷😂

@alexgroundwater @brumbitcoin @theipaper @Bornawoman99 @moving_charlie Let's also realise why it isn't affordable. 530k mortgage 25 year term at 4.75% For 60 months Monthly payment £3,022 household income would have to be over 150k for it to be comfortable. How many families under 45 have 120k in equity plus the 100k+ to renovate it.

@londonHenryGB @Trading212 This is what I’m doing, keep the workplace pension to get maximum tax and NI relief, transfer each month to SIPP in T212 and have more control over funds you’re invested in. Just need them to turn the SIPP live!!!

I disagree. You can’t buy a saloon EV that size with 332 miles of range, electrically adjustable memory seats, autosteer on highways, two mobile charging pads, a sensationally brilliant app, panoramic roof, adaptive LED Matrix headlights, 360° vision, heated steering wheel, integrated dashcam and sentry mode and it does 0-60 in 6.2 s for £27k. But you can buy this interest free and pay £34,240 for it.

The justification for charging tuition fees, with reverse triple lock interest, and resulting 9% extra income tax, is the graduate premium. This, you are told, is the extra lifetime earnings from which you will benefit as a degree holder. And we believe that to be between £100,00 - £150,000 over the course of your career. But “believe” is the operative word. The thing is, we don’t know. But the government does. That’s because they have something called LEO data - Longitudinal Education Outcomes. And it tracks the university, course, and earnings of nearly 40 million people. Here’s the kicker: they won’t release the full data to the public, to you. Only to pre-approved researchers. And even then, they don’t get the whole dataset. That’s because pressure groups that represent universities have lobbied for it to remain private. They say you can’t measure the value of an education in a salary. That it’s about the soul and the mind and enrichment and growing up. And I agree with them, if only for the fact that they did have a really specific idea of the value of an education when they were taking my money. And indeed the government does too: +9% on my marginal tax rate. So the ask is simple. Release the records. Let graduates make an informed choice about the actual value of their degree. They just have to press publish. What have they got to hide? x.com/lfg_uk/status/…

@Rovers a team in administration, who are all but relegated, signed players with championship experience and in a position we were crying out for. Hopefully the recruitment team, led by Rudy and Owen, are fighting for their jobs! #VenkysOut #PashaOut #RudyOut #BRFC #Rovers

Well got to be honest that was a busier transfer window than I was expecting. Jerry Yates ✅ Marvelous Nakamba ✅ Joel Ndala ✅ Tayo Adaramola ✅ Jaden Heskey ✅ Murphy Cooper ✅ All through the doors at S6. How would you rate the Owls transfer business? From what we thought I'd say Marvelous 😉 #swfc #wawaw

I ran some numbers. If you have a graduate degree and associated loan, earning from £100-£125k you'll pay: 40% tax 20% loss of personal allowance 2% NI 9% undergrad loan 6% grad loan = 77% tax = £5750 in your pocket (& this is 84.5% in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿) But you'll lose childcare allowance (~£6k per kid) and tax-free childcare (£2k per kid) So if you have a couple kids? You'll basically lose £10 grand if you increase your salary from £100-125k lol 🤡
Oli Dugmore@OliDugmore

A £9k tuition fee graduate excels in life and is on a salary of £100-125k. They start a family. Their marginal tax rate is… 85% What social contract?

@glen9mullan I always say this. Goal difference at the bottom of the table provides a clue as to who might be fighting. Clean sheets or a goalscorer keep you in a league!

Being completely honest despite the bad form etc, i didnt see us dropping into bottom 3, a few weeks ago, especially when we had games in hand. Always thought sheff wed and oxford would go down whilst Norwich, Swansea and Portsmouth be fighting for last spot. Fast forwards to tonight and how Val cant be worried i do not know. Kean said the same words the season we were relegated from the Prem. Relegation is becoming an extreme possibility at this stage

@iamdeshy The lad was 21...he wasn't the finished article and never had a prolonged run of games starting. Would have done better than some of our current squad players.

@JamesO_Connor Not sure how, the lad was awfully wasteful back end of last season, I recall him missed and empty net with a header, and 2 yard tap in also went wide. He would have filled numbers but not quality. Seems to have found his level. #rovers

@JamesO_Connor @lewishamill21 I get the idea of selling him to get funds and clear the wage. That makes total sense. But the idea that we can find a better backup goalkeeper is crazy.

Why do #Rovers fans think we dont need a LWB. We literally have 0. Hedges was the only player capable of playing LWB efficiently.

@The12thRover @lewishamill21 One of my issues is that he is on high wages for a backup keeper. That wage budget could be better spent elsewhere

I know people dont like Pears and I get it. He has some howlers in his bag. But the idea that he is awful is more a personal attack on him than it is a fact. He's more than capable keeper. Clean sheets don't tell the whole story, but him have Toth have the exact same record 13 games 4 clean sheets. 14th and 15th our of 42

@JoshBoswell Ben Benson found him, as he did with Kaminski and his coaching improves GKs. Henderson at Carlisle, Raya at Rovers and Kaminski all improved with him. Done lots of reports on GKs and been overruled on some signings he didn't rate as GKs.
