🏴 BREAKING: A busy window for Barry Town United, who have today completed the signing of Briton Ferry Llansawel and current Cymru U17 international Anya Grunewald.
The defensive midfielder has made 11 appearances in all competitions for The Ferry in her first season of senior football, and becomes James Fishlock's fourth signing in the first week of the window.

@HarryWare07 @llanutd_women Lovely stuff mate! Totti is brilliant, hope her & Llanrumney continue to do well 💪🏻

@llanutd_women My favourite part of these Player In Focuses is uncovering special moments in Welsh women's football history which aren't as publicised anymore, and Rosina's career is another which I've enjoyed writing up!
Thanks for reading the first Player In Focus of 2026!

It's the first Player In Focus of 2026, and with that, we're doing something a bit different!
To Tier Three we go, and more specifically the South Wales Women's and Girls League (SWWGL), where the Combined League has seen a very competitive race for the title, and leading the way is Llanrumney United.
Led by former Cardiff City striker Catherine Walsh, and with Siobhan Walsh and Zoe Atkins also in the management team, Llanrumney are building something special, having won promotion from SWWGL Division One last season.
The best part about it though, is that it's a group of players who are simply enjoying football again, with many of the squad falling out of love with the game in previous years. With that said, there's a lot of top quality in the side, who have played much higher before.
If you go to watch the Cardiff-based side, within minutes you'll notice their number 10, Rosina Hill. A left footed attacking midfielder, with incredible flair and vision, but also an eye for goal, creativity that many teams just cannot handle playing against.
Nicknamed 'Totti' very early on in her career, here's a deep dive into the career of Rosina Hill, continued below!

@downeytrev Glorious mate! Happy New Year to you & the rest of the Downey Clan

@pavilionopinion Poor form to be so disingenuous and reductive when, as you well know, the scope of said inquiry also included a thorough investigation into whether he whistled.
English

This investigation may sound ridiculous but, for ECB context, younger viewers should know England once lost in Australia then launched a sombre enquiry into whether the reason Mitchell Johnson took 37 wickets in the series was because their best batter looked out of a window.

✍️ From this week onwards, I'll be writing articles for @cymru_sport, alongside our podcast, including a weekly preview of what's coming up in the Welsh women's football scene!

We’re in the game & doing ok, couple of very good pieces of play & chances.
Game was quite cagey and very even from the most part right up until the red card (2 yellows) I’d say.
After that it’s difficult & fair play to Ferry, they take their chances and that’s the game.

All over here. Barry battled bravely second half with ten players but will rue missed chances in the first half 0-3.
