@JamesRyen @JeenaYi @mosessv @pacotolson @qui_writes We just saw PYR and were often reminded and reminiscing about you playing Quang. Looking forward it playing elsewhere with you in it. All 3 of Qui’s plays that I’ve been lucky to see are electric, funny, beautiful, and just my favorite stuff.

We saw BETWEEN TWO KNEES at @seattlerep last night. I first saw it in 2019 at OSF and loved it. Excited to see it again! But darn! Although the understudy did a nice job, I was heartbroken to miss @JamesRyen! He and @rachelcrowl were why I went! I missed you, James! Bravo Rachel!

OSF Show #2: THE TEMPEST. I have always been so-so about this play b/c the story always seemed unclear and muddled. Not this Tempest! Plot points and humor I never understood became clear and enjoyable. First rate cast (love @JamesRyen in anything he does). Bravo! #TheTempestOSF

Merry Birthmas, @JeremyEisen1! Miss you dearly, my friend. Had rehearsal so I could only run 3 miles for you, but I know you would understand. Missing your laugh, and your “here we go” when I try and make a joke off of whatever is happening in the rehearsal room.

@HaHaScribe They’re a beautiful art form - think of how some overtures evoke emotions, mood, and feeling before actors even say a word. Hamilton, Les Mis, Sweeney Todd, Into The Woods, Spamalot, Wicked, Cabaret, West Side Story…amazing storytelling and music.

I never discuss Broadway with screenwriters. I'm curious any of you like musicals? My favorites: Les Misérables, Wicked, Pippin, Spamalot, Damn Yankees, She Loves Me and even though my wife was in it and not a fan, I loved the megamix in Joseph/Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

@HaHaScribe Actors can adjust their voice, physicality, and hide underneath makeup, prosthetics, and costumes - but musicals showcase both the talents and vulnerabilities of an actor. You can’t hide when singing and dancing (often at the same time), and while acting with truth & depth
