Oxford City Council is to convert Maltfield House in Northway into affordable homes. The site was used as a children’s home until the COVID pandemic and its now derelict. A contract has been awarded to Kingerlee for the works, which aim to deliver 15 homes for social rent.

“The vast majority” of items stolen from an elderly military veteran in Abingdon have been recovered, say Thames Valley Police. DC Laura Oakes said “It’s wonderful news that as a direct result of our previous public appeal, these treasured possessions have been recovered.”
