We think this type of switching probably occurs across a range of different switchable proteins below their pKa’s so hopefully may be able to explain some low pH behaviour and may improve our tools to design new rsFPs! 6/7

New paper (from my PhD) is out! We used time-resolved serial crystallography in combination with UV/vis and FTIR spectroscopy to discover a new class of switching in GFP-like reversibly switchable fluorescent proteins. 1/7 pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

@giovannibress ah nice ! how are you setting up the chirped mirrors ? i’ve built a double pass system on chirped mirrors but beam quality is not the best :(

Very excited to report I have been promoted to Senior Lecturer (that’s associate prof for you US types!). This is a reflection on all the brilliant people both in my lab and collaborators that I have been lucky enough to work with over the last five years. YAY!

@JamesSci Hi James. You can take a southbound 1 train and transfer to a southbound 2/3 train at any point before 14 St. Then take that 2/3 train to Fulton St and transfer to a Jamaica-bound J train for service to JFK. ^JZ
