I really want #Panthers WR XL17 to work here. He has all of the athetic gifts to be a stud. However, plays like is just hard to swallow. When XL clears the LB he seems to slow up just a bit - maybe this is because he wasnt expecting the ball? However, this throws off the timing of the play. Ideally, as soon as XL clears the LB here, he crosses the safety's face since it is a MFO defensive concept. The ball was thrown to a spot to only where he could get it. I understand it was very wet and rainy as well. So there are valid challenges on this play. However, its just starting to feel like a trend.
