Beginning July 20, Claude Fable 5 will be included in all Max and Team Premium plans, at 50% of limits. Pro and Team Standard users will continue to have access to Fable via usage credits, and will receive a one-time $100 credit. Demand for Fable has been challenging to predict, which is why we rolled it out to subscription plans in stages, extending access several times as we secured additional capacity.

Day 9 until $1k MRR. Back after a few quiet days. Submitted a new build to Apple, waiting on review. Added new weekly and monthly tiers for the subscription. Rest of the week is gonna be a big marketing push.

Day 8 until $1k MRR. Rewrote the camera overlay after user feedback. Added tutorials so people actually know how to use it. Tomorrow: submit v1.1 to review. Still need to do an ASO pass and tweak screenshots. Then it's all marketing. UGC content and hitting niche groups.

Introducing shadcn/typeset. You know how you render markdown and get back plain, unstyled HTML? Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables. So you style the elements one by one: font sizes, line heights, spacing. You do it for your blog. Then you do it again for docs. Then again for the chat. Every time, you're fighting the same thing: sizing and spacing. To fix this, we created typeset.css: one file that styles everything inside a typeset container. It lives in your project, so you can change it directly when you need to. And we made it work beautifully with streaming markdown.

With Fable 5 and the upcoming Sol 5.6, I have this growing anxiety. My negative nanny thought has been that when/if AGI is here, what I am building doesn’t seem to matter much anyway. Why keep grinding when the business might be crushed by bigger players with infinite token budget & better distribution. Then it becomes procrastination. I keep falling for the Next Big Thing fallacy: an idea that could potentially become huge before the window closes forever. The fear of being “permanent underclass”. And finally the guilt of not spending enough tokens. As if I’m throwing money away. Maybe I just need to touch more grass IDK. Does this happen to you too?

More useful than many benchmarks: GPT 5.6 Sol just improved tensor parallel prefill numbers preserving numerical correctness in DwarfStar after many rounds of Fable optimizations. Does not mean it is better, bit it is a strong signal IMHO.
