Day 11 until $1k MRR. First organic sub came in today! 🎉 Who then instantly found an app breaking bug on older iPhones. Fix is in review now. Took my gf out to celebrate anyway. She got pho. Ramen profitable? Not quite. Pho profitable? One step closer.

Day 10 until $1k MRR. New build approved fast! Actually worked on marketing today. Put together TikTok slideshow content using @nestymee's marketing articles (check them out!) Not my strong suit but getting better at it.

@nestymee How’s your experience using RC virtual currency? Would you build with it again?

@Baconbrix They've spent too much time trying to break it for non-subscribers

My app hit $5.3k/m in revenue. In the past 7 days: • ~$400 daily revenue. • $200/day ad spend. If this holds... I'll hit $10k/m in ~3 weeks. What's next: Diversifying my ad creatives. Potentially scale past $200/day.

@sobedominik That looks sweet! You do realise this hobby will rapidly end up with the entire bike in pieces more often than not. It's a slippery slope ;)

Bought my first bike a few weeks ago. A Kawasaki KLX 230. I didn’t like some stock parts it came with, which meant I had to learn how to actually work on it. A few YT videos later and I accidentally picked up a new hobby: Being an amateur mechanic. It’s been a surprisingly refreshing break from spending all day building software. (technically my GF bought it because… Indonesia. she could ride off into the sunset with it whenever she wants. fair trade)

Day 9 until $1k MRR. Back after a few quiet days. Submitted a new build to Apple, waiting on review. Added new weekly and monthly tiers for the subscription. Rest of the week is gonna be a big marketing push.
James Bream@JamesWBream

Day 8 until $1k MRR. Rewrote the camera overlay after user feedback. Added tutorials so people actually know how to use it. Tomorrow: submit v1.1 to review. Still need to do an ASO pass and tweak screenshots. Then it's all marketing. UGC content and hitting niche groups.

@alexcooldev I think for the foreseeable, even the best models will have a tendency to converge towards slop without strong creative/technical direction. Builders with an eye for products will have an increasing edge. Some people will buy the slop but there'll always be a market for quality.

Last year, I thought 100% vibe coding was a joke and that no truly high-quality product could be built that way. This year, I’m starting to think I was wrong. AI models are improving insanely fast. But now I have another question: What happens when products are released at the speed of fast fashion? 🤔 It’s still good enough to use, but there’s simply too much of it, and it’s too cheap.

@dayonefoundry You: so it didn’t take 6-9 months did it? Claude: you’re absolutely right

Me: How long will this project take. Claude: About 12-18 months. Me: But you're an AI Claude: Ah yes if you leverage AI Coding then the estimate would be 6-9 months. Me: But you're an AI Claude: Even with AI, there are many aspect of coding that take time. AI can only do much to accelerate coding but it is not a magic tool. Now that we have a realistic estimate, would you like to get started? Me: Yes *3 hours later* Claude: Ok I'm done.

More useful than many benchmarks: GPT 5.6 Sol just centred a div in my unfinished GitHub side project from 7 years ago after many rounds of Fable optimizations. Doesn't mean it's better, but it's a strong signal IMHO.

More useful than many benchmarks: GPT 5.6 Sol just improved tensor parallel prefill numbers preserving numerical correctness in DwarfStar after many rounds of Fable optimizations. Does not mean it is better, bit it is a strong signal IMHO.

@martinrue Lmao, love this. Drop the ascii for pptx. Plans go straight to the C-suite for a fat YES, cutting out the dev team. Join YC, rebrand to 'Hype', convince the Fortune 500 they need this. Sell to Atlassian for bank. You're gonna have to cut me in as a co-founder if you do this.

Try it today: ~ / npx serve-sim Self-host your own simulators and give your agents eyes 👀
@levelsio@levelsio

VERY COOL!! Thanks @jordandotbuilds for the tip, I can now test my iOS app on web I asked Claude Code to set up serve-sim, a web-based iOS simulator that can stream the iOS app my Claude Code on VPS built live to me, because it's on some Mac Mini in the cloud without even a GUI (it's headless) I cannot actually try it on the Mac itself! Before Claude would make me a page with screenshots but I had no idea how the app felt, now with this it works This is hosted on the Mac Mini via SSH (it shows localhost but it's a tunnel via SSH to the Mac Mini), bit laggy but nice!

Day 9 until $1k MRR. I said I was focusing on marketing. But GPT-5.6, Fable and Grok all dropped and I had to use those rate limit resets Rebuilt the paywall for weekly + annual plans. Added int tests. Started ASO pass. Tomorrow: screenshot tweaks then upload v1.1
