BBC Four are presently showing a reading of Oscar Wilde’s “The Picture Of Dorian Gray”. The set is, I must say, very beautifully dressed and appointed. The reading is exquisite. It’s sort of like an adult version of Jackanory.

The award-winning writer Hanif Kureishi was paralysed after collapsing on Boxing Day in 2022. Tomorrow on @BBCRadio4, his story since then is being told in a partnership with the Royal Ballet. He tells #R4Today why ballet felt like the right form for an adaption of his work.
