It’s been implied (I want to believe), but for the first time in my 28 years, I heard the words today from an administrator.
“I trust you.”
I was surprised how much it mattered. Haven’t quit thinking about it.
Wonder if this is how my kids feel when I say,
“I trust you.”

Once upon a classroom, I made them comply.
And I was good at it.

I’ve never done a Hexagonal Thinking lesson before…. But I’m considering this as a day one activity in AP Lang: Have them write 6 word memoirs on a hexagon and then have them work together to discuss how to connect their hexagons together in meaningful ways… thoughts?

@JamesonAPLang I’ll share how it went. I’m planning to have the students find peers who share strengths and see what dynamics they can find within their seating groups. I’ve been eyeing the hexagons from a distance and this seemed a great opportunity.
