But there is an increasing number of trainees and new consultants who can do ESP. Who I think, with time, will be able to progress to PVB! P.s. Nice letter @hasyourregtried @amit_pawa 👌🏻

@BMA_James_Steen Even worse is the fact that the £2162 is if you are full time. A doctor on 80% (which is the same hours as a full time AfC) only gets £1729

Don’t even get me started on the disparity between new doctors and new PAs working in central London. London Weighting: All Doctors (FY1 to consultant): £2,162 PA at Band 7: £7,746

For the record: New PA salary: £43,574 Core hours: 37.5/week Newly Qualified Doctor salary: £32,398 Core hours: 40/week Disparity: £11,176 (34.45%) Plus 2.5 hours/week Hourly rates New PA: £22.35 Newly Qualified Doctor: £15.58 True Disparity (inc. core hour diff): 43.45%
