@ZakReilly1 It'll be months before the tender's won, at minimum. Maybe over a year. Then they'll need to actually produce the show, which will be at least a year, maybe more in this day and age. It's not going to be 15 years of wilderness like last time, but at least 3-5 seems likely.

Rewatch: Look on so many levels it's kinda crap. Incredibly on the nose with its ideas. So much about it doesn't work. However one way it doesn't fail at all is as an ending. It sends off the classic series so incredibly well with a story about how survival isn't worth all costs.

@jayexci2 As terrible as Survival is, and boy is it bad, I can't help but love it. It's just so earnest and heartfelt. You really feel just how much the team loved the show, despite everything.

@beeeeeeaan It's a cumulative effect of RTD2, the Chibnall Era, and some underlying problems from the Moffat and RTD1 years. Chibnall's time made things a lot worse, especially reputationally, but it was recoverable. RTD2 took it out back and killed it.
