We should say well done to King Charles III and appreciate his decades of work. The Duchy of Cornwall was declared bankrupt twice while under government management, yet the King turned it around and built it into a thriving enterprise. Prince William has since introduced highly effective changes that have strengthened it even further. This next chapter is truly impressive. Journalist Emily Andrews has a podcast called “Catching Up With the Royals”, and on the new episode she opened up about Princess Catherine’s “great sense of humor" as well as an instance where Prince William called her out on an article she had written about him, calling him "workshy" 🫣    The Royal writer and journalist shared some of her insights from working with the Prince of Wales over the years.    Andrews noted Prince William is “very clever, very curious and has a cheeky grin and twinkle in his eye. I have always really liked him,”    Ok Andrews, the Williamania chapter still accepts new memberships...😁    She added however that despite his charming personality outward, “You also get the sense that you don’t want to cross him.” 🔥     Andrews recounted how in 2016 working for The Sun, she wrote a story titled "Work shy Wills" because his public engagements were lower than his father and Aunt Princess Anne😵‍💫    Then she went on the Royal Tour in India with Catherine and William in April 2016 and he called her out on it.   She said: "I remember when I wrote the article ‘Work Shy Wills,’ that was me, I’m afraid,”. “Then when we were on tour to India, William wanted to talk to me, which he did.”  Andrews, who said she would elaborate more on the situation in a future video, ( in hate cliffhangers😭) but she added, “He’s very human.”❤️      Actually, in 2022 Andrews spoke to Sky News about this story and said that William “took it on the chin, at least publicly with me. And he said that it was fair enough, but there were a lot of things we hadn't seen behind the scenes.”   “And actually fast forward to 2019/2020 and we heard a bit more about the stuff that he'd been doing with the air ambulance, the children's lives he'd been saving.”🔥    And that is the point that a lot of people criticising him seem to forget, that Prince William does a lot of his work behind the cameras, without needing the press to follow him or know about it.      So while she was criticising him as workshy because his royal engagements were lower than his father, she did not know that at the time, he worked as a full time civilian and pilot for the Air ambulance while also doing royal engagements and taking care of his wife and two young toddlers🫠    I love that he pointed out the obvious to her: she does not know what work he actually does behind the scene. Royal public engagements are NOT the only work William does🔥     Finally, Andrews concluded of the Prince: "He is funny and charming, clever, witty, and he likes to get stuff done.”  She concluded “Don’t cross him, don’t upset him…memo to Harry,”     I think Harry already found that out the hard way..😅    This is not the first journalist that Prince William has called out to their face, Rebecca English also spoke in 2024 of how he also called out.      Well and so, from this anecdote Emily shared, we get another insight of the Future King, as a man who is charming and approachable but is not afraid to confront, to be frank and direct when something needs to be addressed because "he likes yo get things done". This comes after the Prince personally invited the hosts to join him during his significant visit to the Isles of Scilly, as he opens a new wing at a hospital in St Mary’s. This crucial facility will significantly improve access to healthcare across the remote islands and enable residents to receive essential care closer to their homes.❤️ Back in 2024, Prince William visited the Isle of Scilly and posted "Looking at plans for the new health and social care facility which will offer a game-changing range and quality of care on the islands, and is being built on Duchy of Cornwall land next door to St Mary's Community Hospital."😚 Great to see that 2 years later the new facility is completed and ready to serve residents of the Island. "This huge sum has been earmarked for investing back into the country and will be used to help tackle the housing and nature crises."👌🏾     The article hails him "a radical millenial King in the making". Not at all. There is nothing radical in that move. Prince William is simply a man with great financial ressources, for whom money is a mean, not an end in itself🔥    We see a man who knows he has more than enough money to live comfortably and is not in the politic of accumulating riches nor chasing money; He rather uses that money toward his philanthropic work. analytical philanthropist with great financial resources, for whom money is a mean to do good, and not an end to self enrich himself🔥       If he can indeed make £500 million out of selling merely 20% of the land on the Duchy of Cornwall, then he is savvy to sell since he can reinvest this huge capital back in his projects.     Harry Mounts' article reads: "If his father was the philosopher-reformer, the prince’s pledge to break from aristocratic tradition and sell off land to help with the UK’s housing crisis shows just how far he’s prepared to go with his change agenda".  "Last year, in a wide-ranging interview with actor Eugene Levy, he explained how things would be different when he succeeds his father.
