@MZHemingway Same thing at Charlotte…there’s always a plane already at the gate, a gate attendant who didn’t realize our plane was at the gate, a truck parked at the gate, a dog on the runway or something else bizarre. Completely inefficient.

My favorite thing about landing at Reagan airport in DC, which I do once a week or so, is how each time they are surprised by the plane landing and don’t have a gate ready.

I’ve been in the Deep South they are huge on manners and how you conduct yourself. Always friendly polite and always asking you if you need anything.
