My mom's name was Deb. She traveled every continent. She danced with Masai warriors in Africa, walked with penguins in Antarctica, and made friends everywhere she went. She was funny and athletic and had a laugh you could hear across a room. Alzheimer's took her voice first. Then everything else. She passed in 2017 at 66. I think about what early detection could have meant for our family. More time. More choices. More of her. The ASAP Act would cover blood-based Alzheimer's screening tests under Medicare. The science exists. The coverage doesn't. Not yet. @RepMcCormick, I'm asking you to cosponsor this bill. Georgia families are running out of time and we need your help ASAP.

@JamieLSaunders @FiredUpCoug I do this all of the time. My "tzakiki" has frequently had different herbs in it due to what I happen to have in the garden or in the house.

Ok first time mom question: When my baby wakes up. She just lays there quitely cooing and playing with her own hands. I've started just letting her chill in there on her own until she cries out for me. But today its been like 20 minutes. Do I just... let her be? (I can see and hear her on the monitor obviously)

You know what eIse is convenient nowadays? You can take a picture of your fridge, pantry, and freezer and ask AI to tell you recipes for what you can make with it. I do it all the time. Or just tell it what you have that you want to use and it will come up with something.

I didn’t take a picture but my breakfast cost less than $1.50. Eggs, cheese, avocado, grapes, and coffee. Living the GenX life. :)

Some easy recipes for the youngins: 1. Browned ground beef, mix in boxed mac n cheese, add peas (can be microwaved)- takes about 15 mins 2. Thaw frozen salmon in cold water in sink (takes 1/2 hour) and bake at 375 for 15 mins, minute rice (15 mins), green vegetable (can be microwaved)- whole thing takes about 40 mins 3. Browned ground beef, minute rice, green vegetable- takes 15 minutes 4. English muffin, add pizza sauce, pre-shredded mozarella cheese, meat/spinach if you want - toaster oven for 5 mins 5. Salad mix, add cooked chicken- serve. 3 mins prep 6. Tortilla, canned refried black beans, pre-shredded cheddar cheese. Heat refried beans in pan, spread on tortilla, add cheese, put in pan for 3-4 mins per side. 7. Bread, peanut butter, add banana or honey or marshmallow spread. 5 minutes 8. Boil pasta, rinse and set aside. Mix large can tuna with mayo, brown mustard, diced dill pickles, salt and pepper. Add to pasta. Takes 15 minutes. 9. Any meal at Publix by the meat counter takes less than 30 minutes and no prep involved. They have meatballs, chicken, vegetarian, you name it. 10. Heat jar of tomato sauce. Add browned ground beef. Boil pasta. Have spaghetti. Takes 15 minutes. 11. Bag of salad mix, chopped tomatoes (you can buy them pre-chopped), pre-shred cheddar, and ground beef with a packet of taco seasoning. Taco salad in 10 minutes. Add chips for crunchy- fritos are amazing. Nothing is stopping you from learning. You are living in a time of convenience at the grocery store- most things can be bought in small quantities, pre chopped, pre shredded, bagged, etc. You can do it!!

@JasonPynn Watched it- it's great! Our show was at Mercedes Benz in Atlanta and he stood up there- a one man show for nearly 3 hours- just him, microphone, a pedal and his incredible voice. Mesmerizing.

@JamieLSaunders Love all this! I highly recommend you check out “ONE SHOT with Ed Sheeran” on Netflix. A one shot walking concert through NYC and it’s incredible.

@allie__voss Yep - my son spent some time teaching his roommate how to do laundry and clean. His mom did it all for him.

Freshman year of college I taught no fewer than 5 people how to do laundry I really do think parents are just assuming kids will magically learn things they're never taught, cooking included
