@stoolpresidente I love you, Dave, but this one isn’t hard to figure out the difference. One player was going to the ground and had to survive it and didn’t. (Bills). Adams caught the ball and didn’t need to survive the ground. When his knee touched the play is over. Pretty easy call actually!

There is absolutely no difference between this play and the Buffalo play. Adams did not make any move. He caught it, secured it as he was tackled and then stripped on the ground. Same exact thing. Same exact. This is why fans hate the NFL refs. No consistency game to game

My two cents... The play was a quick-hitter, designed for the ball to be out immediately (which is why the OL schematically left Brian Burns unblocked). McCarthy didn't pull the trigger and was left to eat that strip sack. Either throw it or dirt it. No other option.
