@simonrug It was a forward pass & unnecessarily so. The std of passing @ the top end of the game inconsistently bad. The last few generations of players have been taught the wrong technique with 2 much emphasis on running straight 2 pass long. The only requirement was accuracy in this case

This kind of situation always provokes debate. Direction of the hands the key issue as momentum will see a ball travel forward. Important to remember a ball going forward doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a forward pass - odd as that may sound. Physics rules!
