Why is blood sugar control so important? When you eat carbs, blood sugar spikes, it is normal. But the problem is when there are frequent and lasting blood sugar spikes are linked to a wide range of health issues like diabetes, hypertension, AD etc. @dlifein @shashiiyengar

Insulin resistance is a major contributor of not only diabetes but also hypertension. Insulin resistance causes sodium retention in kidneys. High sodium in blood causes hypertension. So it's not dietary salt intake but hyperinsulinemia that causes high BP.

The first three lessons have been amazing! The first lesson has given me insight on the vast amount of people who engage with the internet. The second lesson gave me the opportunity to research connectivism theory. I also learned how to play Sudoku in the third lesson!#EM203Robin
