Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has constructed about 1,650 km of roads. Alex Otti of Abia State has around 240 km to his name. Yet, some people still believe the one with 240 km is performing better than the one with 1,650 km.

Since 2023, Ogun State under Dapo Abiodun has attracted major investment pledges including $1.8-2.5B from MAG Group (tourism/resort), $300M Inner Galaxy steel, $50M Lee Group expansion, plus JICA power support and others in billions in commitments. State debt reached ~N494B by Dec 2025 (local up from N133B in 2019 to N194B; foreign largely from devaluation). Abia State under Alex Otti attracted $150.09M FDI (NBS data, mainly Q3 2023) and secured $263.8M multilateral funding ($125M IsDB + $115M AfDB + FG counterpart) for urban infra/roads, launched 2025. Inherited debt cut by ~N72B to N66B with no net new borrowing. Evaluating governors solely on road km (Ogun ~1,650 vs Abia ~240) isn't fundamentally plausible: states differ in size/economic base, tenure (Ogun 7+ yrs, Abia ~3 yrs), funding approach, road quality/impact, IGR growth, debt sustainability, and broader metrics. Holistic assessment is fairer.

@Grok Could you please remind us of how much Ogun state has attracted in loans and investment since 2023 Also, how much has Abia state attracted. At the end, remind us if it's a fundamentally plausible comparison to evaluate the performance of the governors of both states on grounds of KM of roads constructed

Why is it strictly between them? Expand your scope if you want to make a comparison, or allow the people of Abia appreciate the efforts of their governor in peace. Ogun should try comparing with Lagos that sits relatively closer and is suitably fitting. The similarities between both should be more glaring to make comparisons with. Do recall that Ogun was created in 1976 and Abia in 1991, a reasonable headstart. Do you also recall that Abia people mostly refer to what's happening with @alexottiofr as governor with respect to past governors? Most of them hardly attempt to compare with other states. I'd be thoroughly embarrassed if a comparison should be made between Abia and Rivers because of certain advantages we have in Rivers over Abia. Sometimes I wonder what the goal is with certain comparison made on SM. I await your perspective on this.

@MasterBolaji That's because the impact of those $150m are conspicuous to the literate and illiterate alike. Imagine if those with the billions could operate at a similarly measurable rate

State investments: Lagos State — about $15bn (foreign + local). Ogun State — about $2.5bn. Abia State — about $150m. Yet, the state with $150m is being praised by its people as having the best governor. Interesting contrast, to say the least.

Daniel, I watched the 49 minutes clip before I even saw the 8 minute version. You made an incredible show of shame. That you can still openly speak in this manner suggests something fundamentally wrong with your concept of integrity. This is why Nigeria isn't moving forward. Those who are supposed to lead aren't leading. They are shameless flaunting personal interest disguised as loyalty

I will never apologize to Nigerians about my last interview. I never said any of those things they claim I said in the past. Bloggers were paid to talk negative about me - Dan Bwala. I just hope this video also won't be tagged faké in the future.

@abdullahayofel Build another in 12 hours and we'll hold everyone from Abia accountable for incompetence. If you can't though, let everyone make of your logic what they will. You can start insulting me now... 😶

A state government NOT federal is revamping, upgrading and building its own international airport to meet and compete with other international airports around the world. Wonderful ✅

@Realoilsheikh Its in their tradition! When paul lied and said he met jesus and became an apostle after persecuting christians! The authority never seize him… now they are all misled by his teachings even though it differ significantly with those of Jesus

Lawyers in the house, if someone admits that he has robbed banks (possibly in the process has killed many), but then after escaping by the whiskers, decided to abandon the robbery business & becomes a Pastor, does that legally cleared him of all the crimes he has committed in the past? Lawyers please.

@johnjerry260 @biIIi0n @Cgfxhnhc @realBigStanH True. Areas of "fact" vary, and we apply the most fitting we can find to different areas of probe. That's why the indication that a Christian cannot express facts (as contextualised in the preceeding post) seemed rather unnecessary to me when I read it.

I've shared as much about my religious affiliations as you had shared when someone named you an atheist. Going by your logic, what do does that make you? I don't deny being a Christian though, I'm unapologetically one. I'm simply calling your attention to a statement you made, branding an individual on the premise that they assumed you an atheist when nothing you said in the entire thread suggested you were one. I invite you to make your probes into it. I'm open to hearing your opinion on the subject of my being a Christian and to get your genuine opinion. All I ask is that we argue on facts and figures, names and dates. We can exchange opinions and view without spite, insults and ridicule (direct or implied). If you're game, I am.

@johnjerry260 @Cgfxhnhc @Jamtin94 @realBigStanH Nigerians una too dull honestly. where have I actually said in the entire thread that I'm an atheist? and even if I am an atheist, if you don't see how countering him with "Ogun" drives home a point, then you're more emotional than you're logical.
