On Tuesday evening, 27 January 2026, cousins Muhammad Nasrallah, 17, and Hassan Nasrallah, 18, were walking home along a dirt path in the West Bank town of a-Dhahiriyah. Muhammad started climbing over a low stone wall to get to the road home when suddenly, soldiers hiding among olive trees across the road opened fire at him. He was shot in the abdomen and fell. Hassan was trying to help his injured cousin when he saw a soldier aiming his rifle at him. He tried to run away, but the soldiers fired about eight shots at him, wounding him in the leg. When a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance arrived, the soldiers aimed their guns at the paramedics, ordered them to turn off the siren, and refused to help lift the stretcher over the wall. Only after a prolonged delay was Muhammad taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Since October 2023, Israel has killed at least 1050 Palestinians in the West Bank. Under Israel’s apartheid regime, Palestinian lives are treated as entirely expendable. Read the full investigation >> btselem.org/firearms/20260…

For the NYT, the Strait is more important than the human lives of +300 Lebanese who were slaughtered in Israel’s terrorist attacks on Lebanon. Notice that they are using the same vocabulary to describe Israel’s mass slaughtering of civilians in Gaza. Ceasefire “tested”!!!!

Israel ruthlessly carpet bombed Lebanon today, killing at least 180 people and injuring more than 800. How does the BBC report it? “Israel says it hit more than 100 command centres and military sites in 10 minutes…” This is how war crimes are laundered.

Notice how the word "freedom" works in American political language. Freedom to bomb another country: called defense. Freedom to sanction a population into poverty: called pressure. Freedom to support a coup against an elected government: called stability. But freedom for another country to choose its own economic system? Threat. Freedom for another people to elect a government Washington doesn't approve of? Crisis. Freedom for the Global South to trade outside the dollar system? Aggression. The word means: our freedom to do what we want, everywhere, to everyone. It does not mean what the dictionary says. It never did. And the citizens who repeat it most fervently are usually the ones who have thought least carefully about what they're actually saying. They're not lying. They genuinely don't know. The empire translated the word for them before they were old enough to question the translation.

Simple question- What’s more important to OUR nation: Opening the Straight of Hormuz & bringing stability to the Gulf. Or Funding Israel’s offensive in Lebanon? Israel is the jr partner in this relationship but won’t act like it until we restrict military aid to them.
Nick Sortor@nicksortor

🚨 BREAKING: The Iranian regime has OFFICIALLY announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, citing MASSIVE Israeli attacks inside Lebanon, per AP Welp, that didn’t last long Some of the largest Israeli strikes in Lebanon in recent history have taken place in the last 24 hours, risking the end of the US-Iranian ceasefire.

BLATANT LIE CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Karoline Leavitt: "Lebanon is NOT part of the ceasefire agreement". FACT: Literally the PM of Pakistan, who mediated the ceasefire, tweeted out that it WAS included. He's literally the one who witnessed the deal.

Where to find the words anymore? What to say when Israel continues to behave like this? And no condemnation at all from the UK Government. They carry on business as usual as if Israel aren't carrying out genocides in both Gaza and Lebanon. aje.news/jf7llm

I have just spoken with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. I expressed France’s full solidarity in the face of the indiscriminate strikes carried out by Israel in Lebanon today, which resulted in a very high number of civilian casualties. We condemn these strikes in the strongest possible terms. They pose a direct threat to the sustainability of the ceasefire that has just been reached. Lebanon must be fully covered by it. I reiterated the need to preserve Lebanon’s territorial integrity and France’s determination to support the efforts of the Lebanese authorities to uphold the country’s sovereignty and implement the Hezbollah disarmament plan.

So the bottom line is that the US bombers did leave UK bases last evening fully loaded to strike whatever crazy locations the mad president intended. I don't care that they returned. It's unjustifiable that Starmer allowed them to do it. Starmer must go, and the US bases must go as well.
