@rustyrockets You can actually BUY a little water tester for ~$15 and it will tell you the amount in ppm of contaminents/particles. You simply dip one end into the water and get an Immediate reading.

Glad you've held off on the bible bashing for 10 minutes. Stopped drinking tap water over 20 years ago after a bad experience. My dad worked with Kidney patients at Barts hospital and the water filtration on the kidney machines for safe dialysis, has to filter 99% particles/bacteria/endotoxins or the patient can die. He fitted the same filter to our tap water and to cut a long story short, because of the resulting contents found in the filter houding, we ended up going to the local authorities and papers. Amongst other things, sand and sludge, we found "Asellus Aquaticus" swimmings around in the filter housing. Apparently harmless, but when I have a drink it's because I'm thirsty, not hungry. True story...
