Trafford Council marked VJ Day today with a service and flag raising at Trafford Town Hall, followed by the two-minute silence. Present were Leader of the Council, Tom Ross, Mayor of Trafford Jane Brophy, and Chief Executive Sara Todd, alongside veterans, dignitaries, and staff.

The Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Jane Brophy, and her consort, John Brophy, were delighted to attend the official opening of Manchester United’s new state-of-the-art training ground in Carrington.

Over 200 people attended the Trafford Volunteer Fair, kicking off Volunteers’ Week on Monday 2nd June. The Fair was opened by the Mayor of Trafford and attracted over 30 organisations to exhibit at Sale Library. Visitors praised the range of opportunities and the atmosphere.
