It will be a year before Frank Stronach faces his 2nd criminal trial for multiple counts of sexual assault. And in what could represent FURTHER delays, the court will consider severing these cases into more than one trial. Stronach will be 94 in May '27. cbc.ca/news/canada/to…

The issue of prominent leaders in the files points to a deeper accountability gap in how we think about corporate leadership and in many cases, governance. When a CEO’s personal antics erodes the company’s integrity and create reputational risk for the entity, you’re no longer managing optics—you’re dealing with a governance failure. Leaders are stewards of trust, and when those leaders aren't held accountable, but instead stay in place under a cloud of low integrity behavior, they’re effectively transferring reputational and legal risk onto the entire organization.

I'm in favor of using every legal tool available for holding guys like Frank Stronach accountable. I hope others will join me in exploring their civil options.

Of course, this does heighten the importance of the civil cases being pursued against guys like Stronach. If their high-priced defense attorneys can help them avoid accountability on the criminal side, at least there's another tool for survivors to use.

I gotta hand it to Frank Stronach's lawyer, she's figured out yet another way to delay things for her billionaire client. Not only does she get to bill extra, the actuarials are such that, at 93yo, he may never go to trial for the 18 counts of sexual assault/etc against him!

Last summer, I sued Frank Stronach for 4 million plus damages. Money, however, isn't my only goal. I look forward to asking Stronach and Magna questions. Where Stronach can remain silent in a criminal proceedings, that is not an option in the civil space.

Frank Stronach, the founder of Magna International, is facing 18 charges from 13 women for sexual assaults dating back to 1977. My own non-consensual encounter with him occurred when I was a teenaged co-op student in 1986, at a corporate after-party following Magna's ASM.
